The Job without the internet
I'm still among the few people on earth who believe that not all fields of work will be completely taken over by robots and AI or completely abandoned to the internet work when the time comes, despite the fast growth of technology and online connectivity in our world today. Even some of the sectors currently being handled by robots are still very poorly managed, and it sucks a lot. You're wondering which sectors those are? Okay, how do you guys cope with robots answering you via calls and chats when you reach out to a customer care service to resolve an issue or make an inquiry? Just think about that!
These days, everything is being channeled into the digital world, making it seem as though our lives, lifestyles, and work are entirely dependent on it. A lot of people have completely migrated to jobs connected to the online space because they pay more, come with less stress, and give the impression that offline jobs and skills are on the verge of extinction. That's how the world currently operates.
Maybe the skill I have or the kind of work I do offline will somehow be overshadowed by robots in the future or completely abandoned due to the internet age. But I can tell you—it’s going to take ages for that to happen, since it’s not primarily connected to the internet or social media. It might not be such a notable or glorified skill in today's tech-driven age, but the craft demands a human brain to produce a successful and clean result. It’s a laundry service!
The demand for this service is basically offline. As long as people are going to work, attending events, and wearing clothes—in fact, as long as people are alive—the demand for laundry services will remain intact. People wear clothes every day, and clothing items at home get dirty regularly, even when not in use. So, the demand for laundry services is always at 100%.
In the area where my workspace is located, there are five laundry service spots. The competition is stiff, no doubt about that, but even with that, all the spots still get patronage. The service is a necessity in our world today, where people are always out working and have no time to personally attend to their laundry.
Also, some people who are naturally lazy find it hard to handle their laundry by themselves. You'll agree with me that the rate at which people are unwilling to do their own laundry has increased significantly—and it keeps increasing. Way back, when I was growing up in the village, we never patronized any laundry service. What happened to our hands to manually do our laundry? Lol. But now, even panties are taken to a laundry centre to be attended to.
With the way things are going, if online works shut down, the demand for laundry services is likely to increase even more, because people will have more reasons to use clothes—especially since a lot of people now work from home in this internet era.

I knew that you'd pick laundry over any other thing 😁
But you are right. People are no more interested in doing their own laundry anymore and with the internet gone, the demand for that service will boom.
You are s sharp guy 😜
Yes ooh!😅
Do you do your laundry yourself? Don't give me the 'responsible lady' answer. Say the truth 😅
At this phase of my life, my grown up daughter does the laundry but my undies are my own load. No one does that for me.
