The freedom that comes with Sunday

Greetings everyone!

Some days at my workplace, I stay idle all day without doing a single thing. One thing for sure is that I can't close my eyes for sleep at any time because it's unethical for work. That's how I run it from Monday to Saturday without taking a nap, which is very necessary for the healthiness of the body. This pains me so much because I don't get the full dose of sleep during night hours due to many tasks to attend to. That's how exactly I run my week from end to end.

So, whenever Sunday is coming, my heart booms with joy, knowing fully well that my favorite day of the week is approaching. On Sundays, I get to lay on my bed during the daytime as many times as I like and also have my "me-time" without disturbance.

Looking closely at it, my Sunday usually comes with a huge chunk of hours taken up by church activities and other social stuff like going out to watch matches. Still, I enjoy the little personal freedom I have on that day.

My typical Sunday starts at 4-5 am when I need to wake up, stay in bed a little before dressing up for church, which starts around 6 am. I leave for church around 6:30 am, and church lasts until 11:00 am, which takes me to 11:30 am to 12 noon before getting back home.

Once I get home, the only thing that sparks my heart is the freedom to enjoy my soft bed with just my shorts on because I don't get disturbed by anyone except a few who come to my house but knock consecutively before I attend to them.

That day is a free day to the extent that I don't bother much about food because I'm not rushing anywhere. Although I eat a lot too because I don't like my stomach to start crying for hunger, the rate at which I eat is not as compared to the working days when I need to do everything quickly and on time just to get to the workplace.

On such a day, I select calls to answer because I wouldn't want to be called out by many "ogas." Nobody should disturb my peace. Even when I was working in a firm as an employed staff, on Sundays when I found myself free, I didn't pick any calls from the office, but it was so bad that the manager knew my house, so he came with his motorcycle to check on me at my house.

On weekdays, I don't get to watch football matches to my satisfaction due to the unavailability of chance, and also, it's always too hard to stream matches with poor network connectivity if I decide to watch at home, which I suffer from always.
On Sundays, it's the day I go out to the football arena and feel the joy of watching football in the midst of people to the fullest. Maybe you don't know, that's the realest joy in watching football.

I'm living alone, working as my own boss but don't get the freedom to do things uncoordinated, so the freedom that Sundays bring is a joy the tickles my heart.
