Procrastination & I
Sometimes, I find it so hard to describe the feeling that settles inside of procrastination. I think it gives the same satisfying pleasure as taking a cold bath in hot weather, or don't you think so?
But come to think of it, procrastination gives a very entertaining feeling whereby the body system vibes to it and is not willing to go against the pleasure at that moment until a stronger force hits it. Isn't that how your body feels when you're procrastinating?
I and PROCRASTINATION
I won't lie, I used to be a core victim of procrastination to the extent that if I had my way, I would postpone my departure time to heaven when the time comes. This caused me a lot of trouble and put me into many difficult situations, yet even at those moments, I wasn’t bothered because I saw procrastination as natural. I believed that as a human who was living well, I was bound to experience it.
Among all my encounters, the one that choked me to my throat was when I traveled home during one of the holiday periods while in school. My dad was struggling to secure a job back then, and as soon as he saw that I was around, he started pushing all the paperwork to me because he knew I was learned and could handle such tasks. During one of the processes, I was told to take one of the papers to submit at a particular office in the village. I saw it as a very casual thing, considering it was an "office" in the village, which I assumed must operate on "African time." I brushed it off and decided to go to the office towards evening, around 5 p.m., before they closed.
During the day, my dad would call to ask if I had gone to the office, and I would tell him that I would go in 20 minutes. That was how I procrastinated and totally forgot to go to the office until around 6 p.m. when I saw my dad drive in on his bike. That was when I knew I had messed up. I wanted to disappear from the house, but no matter what, he would still search for me to ask if I had submitted the paper or not.
When he finally asked, I honestly told him that I didn’t go but promised to go the next day very early in the morning. You needed to see how my dad got up in anger. I was already an adult; he couldn’t descend on me physically, but he made sure he used his words to rubbish my life, especially criticizing how my siblings and I were addicted to pressing our phones.
The following morning, I got to the office early to submit the document, only to be told that the forms had already been collated and moved to the headquarters of the Local Government Area.
Mehn, my dad poured a brimstone of anger on me that day because he had to pay for transport to the Local Government headquarters to submit the form, which he did along with some monetary fines and pleas.
Well, I have overcome this procrastination lifestyle to some extent. Although I still let it play out once in a while, I believe it is a natural force, especially in situations when my health—physically and emotionally—is at stake.

Bro what is this 😂😂. Shifting things forward when we are supposed to get it done immediately isn't good at all. I am also someone who procastinates even up till this moment and I am definitely still working on how to stop it.
Lol😅
I still procrastinate too. It's a natural thing and once in a while, it's not bad to allow nature have its way.
Thanks for stopping by bro
My heart will be beating so fast. I can't procrastinate when it comes to my parents. The house might not contain the both of us.

I can understand your dad's anger, now I sometimes do the same with my children; they are so stubborn.
I know I'm going to do this to my children when I have children 😅
You are right about the tantalizing feeling of procastination when it desends on a person....the feeling is really good hence why it causes one to delay in action.
Yeah, that feeling is so relaxing to the body. We know it's not right but can't help it at that moment
Yeah, that's true 😁
