Over The Moon
Last week Saturday, very early in the morning, I headed to the filling station to get a good volume of fuel to see me through that day. I got to the filling station, busy as usual, and their music system, with speakers hung at the ceiling level of the shade housing the pump station, was echoing good music which made the whole environment so soothing. After they pumped fuel into my gallon and I was about to walk away, the song "Over the Moon" by Dr. Sid and K-Switch came on, and the way it elevated my mood was so unexplainable. I felt sluggish to walk out of the environment because I was smiling, singing along, and reminiscing about the beautiful old days when the song was released and made waves. As I walked sluggishly, I wished I could carry the music system alongside me to play as I walked home.
Funny enough, it’s a song I can easily play on my phone, so why the enchantment on the spot?
That’s how most of us, I mean music lovers, fall in love with our favourite songs when they are played unexpectedly and in unexpected places. Is it only me that feels that way? No, I doubt it.
Over the Moon was released in 2010 and is already categorized among the old good songs. How time flies.
Touching Body by J. Martins and DJ Arafat:
This song came out in the year 2016, took over everywhere with its catchy chorus, and just disappeared like it never existed. This song reminds me a lot of those days when we repeatedly played it on the farm while clearing grass. Lol 😅 A very good song with a danceable beat and funny lyrics as well.
Garladoo by Runtown and Davido:
Okay, there’s something about the main owner of this song. He was once(and recently) referred to as an upcoming artist by a very small boy who has now gained heavy weight on social media, Peller by name, and this is one of the songs that was shown to him in a dragging manner to tell him that Runtown had been running things in the music industry before he was born. Lol. This song back then was more like a music anthem because of the unique intro sound. Gosh! That sound, anytime it came on, made one feel high and instantly know what song was about to bang!
Thanks for reading.
