My children: The traits I want in them

If my children possess my traits, would I love that?

Answering this question, I will beat my chest and say YES, I'll be very pleased and satisfied when I start having children and I see them with my traits.
I'm someone who, through the way I trained myself, doesn't give in to a lot of trends and bad happenings that have become a norm in our society today. You know, these days, people no longer see stealing and cybercrime as bad things. In fact, society now hails and applauds such characters and calls it being smart. If my children won’t possess any of my traits, I want to beg the Creator of life to at least deposit this fear in them. I frown so much at theft in any of its forms.

If I had the opportunity to select the traits of my children, the dislike for theft in any form at all is one of the things I would like to put in them. I want them to be like me in that regard — to dislike any form of theft and uphold financial integrity. This also means that greed will be limited in them, because greed is one of the magnetic forces that push people to lie and alter financial figures for their benefit, cheat people without feeling guilty, and engage in so many other wrongs.

Another trait I would love them to have, which is in me, is brilliance. I may not be 100% brilliant like some other people, but I don't want my children to be dull. I want them to be smart and brilliant — at least to my level — and even move beyond me.

We are in the technology era, and it pains me so much to see people — I mean, people who were not born in the forefathers' era — find it very hard to use some basic technological tools such as a common smartphone. I have a neighbour who is just a few years older than me, who knows absolutely nothing about smartphones. I've taken my time to teach him on several occasions, but his brain has refused to take in any of the lessons. That is being dull!
I want my children to be good in assimilation, not the type that will need to read and read and still find it difficult to understand, not the type that a teacher will teach and teach and they still find it difficult to grasp.

I'm AA, and I would want my children to be AA too, making them suitable for any person they may want to marry. That kind of life is so advantageous.

One character I would have said I don’t want them to have — because I have it and sometimes don’t get to like it — is the trait of not being excessively social. By this "excessively social," I mean the kind that gets very loud, talks out raw, and announces themselves whenever they are around. As much as that lifestyle is advantageous to some extent, I still wouldn’t want my children to have that, because I have seen the massive peace that this reserved character in me has given me.

Thanks for reading.

Well done. The traits you mentioned are good for your kids.

I think you will undoubtedly be a good father. Because the intelligent people of the society now consider stealing as normal. This is actually a proof of stupidity. But when you become a father, I am hopeful that your children will consider stealing as a crime. May God create that opportunity for you. Have a good day.

If anyone says they do not want their kids to take a few traits from them then that is a sign that person needs to turn a new leaf 😂.
