Literate people are the most wicked

Hello!šŸ‘‹

I have stayed in the midst of illiterate people, and I have led literate people, and I can tell you that the 'wickedest' among them are the literate people!

No lies—being literate means knowing more with regards to books and how the world operates in general. These people know a lot, but I can tell you that when it comes to human relationships and acts of wickedness, they don’t think twice before they strike. This is because being nice is a trait that comes from home, and it doesn't necessarily depend on whether someone is educated or not. Yes, charity begins at home, and this principle applies in all forms as well.

Like I said earlier, I have been opportune in the few years I have lived on this planet to be around and lead literate people. And at a point, I began to wonder deeply at certain individuals' behaviour because it was completely off. That’s when I realized that it's easier to lead illiterate people than literate ones.

Ordinarily, the literate, due to how advanced they are, are supposed to be more considerate when it comes to dealing with people. These are people who, after going through different stages of formal education—which includes learning to relate with others—are expected to have a better sense of empathy and understanding. But no, from what I have observed, it doesn’t work like that. Being nice is a result of someone's personal values and upbringing. In fact, it seems the illiterate often possess more of this human consideration.

Maybe you’ve read a post I once wrote about a woman close to my workplace who decided to drop poison in the lobby of her shop to kill off the chickens that usually roam around her premises. When she told me what she was planning to do, I asked myself if she wasn’t educated enough to know that doing such a thing is sheer wickedness. But hey, she is educated. She's literate. Obviously, the schooling process she passed through didn’t teach her the basics of what is good and bad. Moreover, her home and upbringing lacked that moral life as well.

She carried out her plan—she mixed poison into some rice, scattered it all over her lobby, and left. The next day, we saw chickens lying dead all around the area.
When I confronted her, she showed no remorse. Instead, she felt satisfied, as though she had fulfilled what her mind told her to do. That one incident alone made it clear to me the kind of home she came from.
Literate people without proper home training commit evil and feel no guilt or remorse about it—in fact, they feel justified.

On the other hand, illiterate people have their own shortcomings too. Their actions are mostly the result of ignorance.
As the prompt rightly stated, these people often act out of a lack of knowledge, and you can clearly see that in the workplace through their substandard ideas and practices. A typical example is when an illiterate person finds themselves in a leadership position. They carry out duties without proper reasoning, and in the end, people’s lives are put in danger. I got tempted to mention names and specific areas, but I chose to skip that.šŸ˜

Thanks for reading.
