JESSICA
I was among a group of friends who used to do things together, and to be truthful, my closeness to the five of them was not equal. I was close to just two guys and a lady among us, while the other two, a guy and a lady, were a bit shaky because they joined the crew through other friends.
There was Jessica, one of the hottest babes among the few ladies in my department, the Civil Engineering department. Yeah, we did not have many ladies. She was the lady I was not close enough to.
While we were preparing for our final exams, I heard from one of my closest friends in the group that as they were planning to have fun after the final exam, Jessica said they should exclude me because I was too dull for things like that and that she did not think I could woo a lady. Yoh! When I heard about it, I laughed and took it upon myself to woo her and make her fall for me. After all, I had been crushing on her for a very long time; I just believed I had no chance because she was very hot and moved around with lecturers.
"Jessica, one of these days, I would love us to meet. We have a lot of things to talk about," I told her when I saw her the next day. Meanwhile, we were still preparing for the exam, and there was no chance for a meet-up because everyone was busy, especially with final project work as well.
Ever since I said those words to her, anytime she saw me, she would remind me that I told her we had something to discuss. It became a constant reminder.
Finally, we scheduled to meet on one Saturday, and guess what? It was at my house, not at an eatery or a local restaurant.
She came. I offered her a bottle of Coca-Cola and a sachet of biscuits. We began to talk, and trust me, I have my ways with words. She was laughing all through. I then hit her with the words, telling her that I had liked her for a long time and that I was willing to express my love for her from then on.
Sorry to say, we attended the same church, and despite her 'hotness,' she was a very committed member of the church. I was an usher, and sometimes she came around because of my position in church. I knew she loved my commitment in church as well, and it was one of the things I used to enter her. She fell, but then she needed space to think and probably cut off other guy(s) she was dating. "I will think about it and give you feedback". Her words.
I will not lie, I liked her, no doubt, but even if she agreed, I was going to find it hard to cope with seeing that my girlfriend was everywhere with everyone. So my intention was just to let her know that I could woo her even in my house, and not that because I looked innocent meant I could not get a lady.
Did she agree?
Hold on first. When I told my friends that I wooed her in my house, they found it hard to believe because Jessica was not the type that went to someone’s house.
