Invest in HIVE or BTC | $1,000
Back in the days when N1,000,000, which was almost equivalent to $1,000, used to be considered big money. Back then, having that amount meant you were financially comfortable. But now, $1,000 is just what we use to buy a few things, and before you know it, the money is finished. These days, $1,000 cannot realistically be used to start a business unless it is a very petty one.
Notwithstanding this reality, if $1,000 enters my wallet today and I am required to use it instantly for anything I need right now, I will not lie, my current financial needs are far more than $1,000. However, I am not going to use the money for those needs. Instead, I would rather invest it. Yes, lately I have been adopting this method of defying all odds by making little investments and savings, no matter how small they may be.
If this money comes in the form of HBD, I would not be surprised if I decide to use all of it to buy Hive and either power it up or leave it in a liquid state. Currently, $1,000 HBD will give me about 153k Hive. Imagine buying that amount and powering it up, then using it to curate articles and earn HP in return while waiting for the price of Hive to go up and possibly double or even triple the original $1,000. That would be a good investment.
The only challenge is that it is going to take time for the price of Hive to cross $0.2. Even at that, it will still be worth the wait since I would be using the powered-up HP to curate content and earn more HP in return. I could easily make 200 or even 500 HP through curation alone before deciding to power down the invested $1,000 worth of HP and convert it back to HBD or USD.
Another possible option would be to invest in other coins, especially BTC. This would also be a good consideration since the price is extremely low at the moment, and there is a high possibility that it will pick up again, possibly even sooner than Hive, just as a friend of mine usually suggests. The only difference is that investing in Hive gives me the opportunity to earn from it in a calculated and consistent manner while I wait for the price to increase. The price increase will definitely happen as well; it will just take time.
