In this life, just get your own house and be at peace.

Sometimes last month, after an occurrence in the place I reside, I sat down and made a very wild calculation — and guess what it was? I calculated how much one could use to buy a house. I mean, just to buy an existing one and move in instead of waiting for the building process from scratch. It's funny how, after I made the calculations and got the expected price range, my account balance smiled at me and I smiled back at it as well. Lol🤣

What happened?

Last month, the man who owns a shop in the building was given a quit notice by the landlord, and there was no tangible reason because the landlord doesn't stay there. So, it's not like the landlord wants to use the shop himself, and it wasn’t like the tenant doesn't pay shop rent on time — he does. In fact, the man acts like the caretaker of the building because he carries out some maintenance on the building on his own. The only thing that happened was that, when the landlord visited earlier this year, they had a little disagreement. I'm sure that was the reason he decided to quit him.

Do you know the most interesting thing?

The tenant has houses — I mean, his own houses — in town, but none of them were built with a shop attached or along a road. This tenant, an elderly man, regrets a lot why, upon all his wealth in his youthful age, he didn’t bother to buy land and build a shop. Because if he had done that, he wouldn’t be passing through what he’s passing through now in the compound of the landlord as a tenant.

Do you know another interesting thing again?

This man has lived all his business life in that shop. According to them, he's been there for over 30 years. Imagine, that’s the place his clients know him, he's very used to the environment and everything. Now, he's being forced to pack out. Okay, packing out is not the issue — because definitely, he's surely going to leave one day — but his pain is the hardship he's going to pass through in looking for a shop to rent. And because securing a shop in my city is more like searching for gold in the swamp, he wished he had his own shop, I mean the shop he built by himself.

The whole experience got me thinking as well. I just wish I could buy a house now — and a shop — and settle there with no fear of being pushed out any day. Because it can be so painful after spending your many years in a rented building, after using your own money to beautify the shop with blocks, roofs, and other extension frames, the landlord comes and says he wants to use the shop or rent it out to someone else. The same thing goes with living rooms and flats.

In this life, just get your house and be at peace.

I agree. Having your own is best.

Some landlords are very jealous. When they see that the tenant is doing well and has beautified their shop, they come like hyenas to quit the tenant 😂

This is very true bro, something like this can be painful, it is good to own a personal house, and not all about renting. I hope the caretaker has find a shop by now?
