If it's possible, I would like to give up on sleep

Greetings, everyone!

Upon seeing this contest, the only thought that crossed my mind was to "GIVE UP ON SLEEP." I know it may sound absurd since humans need sleep to maintain their body and mental well-being. However, this has become a significant challenge in my life, and I would like to relinquish it if it won't adversely affect my health. A big emphasis on the conditional attachment.

A few days ago, I took a moment to reflect on my ongoing struggle with deep sleep. I compared it to my school days when I would eagerly await sleep to take me away, yet it seemed elusive. Way back, I would stay awake to watch movies all through the night because sleep is not coming. Life is indeed not straightforward.

Over the past few years, particularly since last year, I've noticed how heavy sleep disrupts my routine. When drowsiness sets in and I resist it, I combat it by either moving around or consuming a caffeinated drink... FEARLESS. During the days of the Zealy campaign, I would find myself outside at 1:00am or 2:00am, pacing around the compound to avoid succumbing to the bed's allure.
Oh yeah, I have a mini office space in my house containing a table and chair, if I stay there and drowsiness strikes, I'll give in and retreat to the comfortable bed.

I recently considered the possibility of having insomnia but upon closer examination, I realized that I haven't been providing my body with the quality of sleep it requires. £How can I give myself 12 hours of sleep when there's so much to attend to?* 🥹

I marvel at my friends, especially in this blockchain, who can stay awake all night. I often wonder how they manage it.

Sleep disturbances me even at daytime. Whenever I have free time to relax, dizziness sets in, and if I'm not careful, I find myself drifting into dreamland.
Unfortunately, I rarely have the luxury to sleep during the day, except on Sundays. On Sundays, I take it seriously, locking my door to prevent disturbances from neighbors or clients. However, these Sundays often come with tasks too, especially when there's a match to watch.

Why do I want to give up on sleep?

The reason is simple – I have a lot to accomplish and I need time.

My daily routine demands more time, and I often find myself wishing for additional hours in the standard 24-hour day. However, poor time management tends to thwart that wish.

During the day, though I have some free time, it is occupied by my offline work, leaving me with little time for my online endeavors. When night falls, and I aim to concentrate on my online tasks, sleep seems to sneak up on me. Many times, I combat it by moving around or consuming caffeinated drinks, enabling me to stay awake until 11:00 pm or 12:00 am. While I manage to accomplish a few things during this time, the volume of tasks remaining is always overwhelming.

Giving up on sleep would afford me more time to attend to my hustles both online and offline. I genuinely wish it were possible, provided it doesn't adversely impact my health.

Thanks for reading.

I battled with this also many years ago but thank God I have been delivered. It requires very high level of discipline. It will end in praise this year.

Haahahah you've outlined some of them nah. Just be deliberate. Enforce it by doing those strategies you gave.

For me I was so intentional because I was tired of my state. Which time of the day is your more productive time? Identify it then give it more attention. I think let's start from there.

You know how many hours you sleep.. but o don't joke with my night rest because o do so much within the day... like now and tired but can't sleep because I still have much to do with my kids too.

It seems your day is enough for you to do all their tasks.
Or it's good time management that's helping you.
I need to manage my time well too.

Thank you for stopping by

Sleep is good but a distraction sometimes, maybe if you adopt taking coffee every morning you will stay active throughout the day it works for some don't know about your body system.

Wait! It seems this coffee is a nice idea. No wonder all these whites don't feel sleepy during day time. Wow!
Nice idea. Thank you

We really need enough time to sleep. If we don't sleep enough we will still be sick and then sleep when we are compelled because of sickness. I also wish to have enough time to rest.
Thanks for sharing

Yeah, you said the absolute truth.
However, I wish it's possible without health issues 😅

On one hand, you should think of it as signs of old age. You know how elderly ones just sit in front of a TV and doze off, yeah? That one😂

While you battle with falling asleep quickly, I battle with finding it difficult to sleep. Crazy stuff. But you should give your body required rest. Even if you had 23 out of the 24 hours in a day, it wouldn't still be enough, you know that right?

First paragraph, it didn't do anything. Try again 😅

While you battle with falling asleep quickly, I battle with finding it difficult to sleep

I have a way to exchange change this. Are you ready??

Another FEARLESS lover 🙌 that drink suffered in my hands when I was still in school, especially during exam periods. I have also wished that I could do without sleep because the things I do daily require a lot of time and sleep is taking a big part of that time (over 6 hours 😩). Well, God that made us that way knows why sleep is important, our body needs it to recharge daily

During the days of Zealy campaign, I drank FEARLESS eeeh! That was the only thing that kept me active 😅

Sleep is good for the system, no doubt on that but the way it acts and chops time...😅
