High-quality Content has different meanings to different people
Greetings!
It was exactly Sunday last week, around 9:00 PM, when I noticed that a friend of mine had not written, which had become a usual thing for her lately. I walked to her DM and asked why she hadn't written, and she replied with,
"I'm scared of writing without getting upvotes."
At first, I smiled mockingly because it's what I used to experience often, which makes me very calculative about what and where I write.
"Yeah, I know this feeling. Have you responded to all the prompts in your easy-to-go communities?" I asked her, and she went on to lament this and that about how she's been writing 'quality posts' without getting noticed.
Okay, I know she's not the only one on this side. I'm there too, and there are many of us.
First of all, what do you call a 'quality post'?
The truth is that this 'quality post' thing means different things to different people on the Blockchain. One day, I had a long conversation in the comments section of one of a well-known person's articles on the Blockchain. He defined it clearly: as long as the grammar is correct, the content should be termed a quality article. But when it comes to personal interests, we have different tastes in what a quality post means. Just like we have people who are very good at pouring out their emotional life in writing, when emotional people see such, they tend to term that an original article and condemn comedy articles as 'not serious.' I used to write a lot of those 'not serious' articles and I know how it feels to be snubbed😅
The truth is, no matter how funny this may sound, it's just the absolute truth. We classify things based on our thoughts and beliefs.
Do you know that a lot of people classify a photo-filled article(maybe travel photos) as more quality compared to fictional stories?
Oh, it's just like that. I also had this discussion with a friend one day, and we went on and on comparing most articles on the Blockchain, and we got it clear.
What am I saying in essence?
Whatever you're writing, as long as it's void of errors, it is quality content. If you're not getting votes on them, then you need to come out of the lazy zone and move around on the Blockchain, get to know people. Don't be like me; I'm very lazy when it comes to moving around on the Blockchain, and that's why I'm struggling too....Although I've been trying my best to pull out
I once lamented on Threads about how frustrating it is to write and not get upvotes.
Guess what?
I received the most comments I've ever received on Threads. A lot of people trooped in, and they were all hitting on: "Do not expect rewards; just write and engage with people."
Ever since then, I've zeroed my mind on getting upvotes. In fact, I no longer write for money. I write out of passion. If you're in my category, come, let's write for passion. Lol.
Thanks for reading.
So I decided to use original photos on this post so as to make it a quality one. Lol😂
[Photo is mine]
Many people forgot that this is a social network too and people upvote what they like not things that creator put a lot of effort. You can post the perfect review of a book of science fiction, if nobody see it or the people thatbsee it don't like science fiction you will have 0 to few upvotes.
Exactly
Exactly bro!
It's centered to what people like
less thinking, more rawness... is what i am still trying to go for. on good days i manage ;)
Less think, more rawness.
This sounds so nice to adopt.
Thank you for stopping by
🤣🤣🤣, writing for passion is good . What you write a post, you cannot predict if that post would receive upvotes or not.
For me, a quality post is one that is able to respond to the prompt at hand intelligently and not just emotionally. It should also be devoid of grammatical errors for fluidity of reading and nice photos to complement the post is necessary too. This is what I consider to be a quality post. Sometimes a combination of humor in a post is necessary to liven the moods of readers.
Keep up the good work👍

I see
Write for passion
I hope a whale is seeing this so they know you’re not writing for the upvote but for the passion😌😌😏😏.
But it is really sad as many of us as lost the meaning of quality post because what we have been writing before that gets us upvoted it’s getting us upvote anymore. At a point we lost the meaning of quality.
Some people don’t see grammar error as less quality but the message the blog is trying to pass. I believe all post deserve upvote so long it’s passing an interesting message to the community it is submitted and it is not AI generated, that’s enough.
Although there are other factors to consider which is where I believe should determine the vote a person gets
But writing a good post and getting $0.4 isn’t good enough for me
You said it all.
All posts should be visited as long it meets the little requirements of no plagiarism, no AI and should be able to pass a message.
It really sucks to write out your heart, using 5hrs to build a post and still ends up not getting up to $0.4
That's what brings demotivation.
But it is what it is.
Thank you my oga for stopping by🙌

Read about some PIMP Shit or Look for the PIMP District
Okay.
I was actually trying it out to know what the response would be...how many to stake to be eligible for using the bot command
You’re welcome sir
My oga at the top
Sometimes it’s difficult to get a post to some type of reward. I’ve posted many things on here that I think a host of people would really enjoy only to find a comment or two and a sprinkle of a vote. There’s plenty of potential reasons that content isn’t discovered and sadly one of them being bay it’s not enough time in a day lol. We just have to keep on writing and one day content from a year or two ago could be rediscovered and appreciated! In the meantime keep up the great work, I appreciate you and the posts you’ve generated!
Hahahah😂.
It's possible though.
Thank you so much for the comment 🙌
This is interesting
But you know it's actually difficult to get your mind off rewards, of course in as much as want to write for fun, we would also be motivated by the rewards we see
Like this, I dn remove my eyes from reward. Let my reward be in heaven. Lolz 😂😂
Thank you for stopping by🙌
Haha, heavenly man
Weldone o, haha
When one writes for passion, there is a high possibility of not being disappointed if the votes aren't coming. To a large extent, the blockchain works with how much effort you put into interacting and making friends with other authors. I have seen a community where the curator shows more preference for the relationship with the writer than the quality of the post. It is good if one's primary aim of writing is passion. When such is intensified, upvotes can come at any time.

You said it well.
Just like the way I'm no longer writing for money but for passion 😅.
It's very clear. Here is more of interaction and connection 💯
Thank you for stopping by boss
Your are welcome, boss
Every word you penned down, no, typed here is just the way it is on the blockchain. Sometimes I see posts with only images getting high votes, while the assumed quality ones get nothing.
One thing I've realized is that one may not always be lucky to get votes on every of their post but that shouldn't be discouraging.. Just like you said, let's write with passion hoping for them to be be noticed.
#dreemerforlife
That's just it.
The earlier we understand the system, the better for us.
Let's stop writing for money, let out reward be in heaven 😅
Thank you for stopping by
In simple terms not all your post will be a hit!!
Always a #dreemerforlife
