Enya is GOATED
Greetings!
If I say I wasn't amazed when I went through all of Enya's songs, then I would be lying. Come on, Enya is GOATED!
Although I'm not usually into foreign songs, I've known about Enya since my secondary school days. I first encountered her through the songs we often used for choreography dance. My interest in her music grew stronger a few years back when I was at home and had a choreography crew to my Name. That's when I discovered "Pilgrim," which I have been using as my ringtone ever since, and it has become a signature tune for me. Many times, my younger siblings have adopted the song as their ringtone because they love how calm, cool, and ear-tickling my phone sounds whenever it rings. I'm still using it as my ringtone today, and I'm not sure I'll ever stop until I leave this earth. Maybe I'll even pass on the legacy to one of my children. Lol 😂
"Pilgrim" is so loaded with deep lyrics. Enya is just too poetic. This song, although I don't get to sing or memorize the words, is one that I like to play or watch with the lyrics displayed, as it takes the mind on a journey through life, reflecting exactly how life feels.
Enya has her own distinct style of music, and it's very unique. For someone like me, who usually prefers strong dance beats, I would normally find this kind of music dull, but I totally fell for Enya's style because it's just too magical. Her voice comes across as so melancholy, and the sounds are so easygoing. Even a jazzy song seems so calm. What a gifted soul!
ONLY TIME
Enya's "Only Time" is a song that I grew up knowing as her biggest hit because it's widely played, and even her YouTube views reflect how popular this song is. It's commonly used in choreography, especially when a magical or climactic part of a performance is coming up. Unfortunately, I don't know the lyrics to this song, but it's played often in church—yes, a Christian song—and it's also played in party and club settings. I have a club close to my house, and this song is often played, especially when someone is buying out the whole club, I mean when someone is spending heavily. The song is played along with a hypeman to make the spender feel special.
ADIEMUS
"ADIEMUS" is another one of her biggest tracks, and it's popularly played everywhere. This was another song we used in choreography, and ever since then, the rhythm has been stuck in my head.
FLORA'S SECRET
Should we talk about this song? Man, it's the same pattern too, and very ear-tickling, especially with how the sound is twisted.
I'm using this as an entrance for #ttt for the week. Incase you don't know what it's all about, read below👇
"Every Tuesday, I'm going to share three songs that I like to listen to, and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post, and I'll come and find the post and upvote it? If you could also use the #threetunetuesday tag, that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize." By @ablaze.
The last track is a bonus track.
