Earning money in my country

To earn money in my country is on a double-edged stage; it's hard and at the same time, very easy. It depends on the job, service or craft one is engaged with.

The hardness of earning money: On a normal standard, it's very easy for one to earn the lowest denominations of money in the country such as ₦5, ₦10, ₦20, ₦50, and so on up to ₦1,000, but to earn big could be very difficult depending on the situation of the earner, the kind of work or services being rendered. In fact, everything boils down to the kind of job the earner is involved in. There are people who barely earn ₦500 (less than $0.5) a day, and it's as difficult as that. They put in hard work, all their strength and energy into what they’re doing, but the situation of things just keeps remaining like that. The earnings increase a little on “better days,” and those days are heavily celebrated. The kinds of jobs centered on this are mostly those based on petty services(employment basis). The earnings are fixed, and nothing can be done about it, no matter how much effort they put into the work. Also, to get a good-paying job in my country is very hard; it needs connection and the grace of God. This is why people settle for the minor ones just to live life or go into business. However, to go into a good-paying business, one needs good capital too — a typical example of using money to find money. As it stands currently in my country, the cost of living is very high; every single thing costs hugely, so establishing a business on a standard level requires a huge amount of money. This is why people settle to be employed even on low salaries, to hold on until they can establish something bigger and reach that stage of growth.

To earn money is easy: In this era of technology and digital earnings, Nigerians are not left out, and it has become one of the easiest ways to make money. The use of social media is one of the key tools. Although building an audience to the level of earning big and swiftly is a difficult task, people are doing it and cashing out steadily. Take for example this site — we have a lot of Nigerians here who are making it big. And here, though there’s hard work, the money comes swiftly too.
