A very low budget Christmas is coming

As at the time of writing this, Christmas is just two weeks away, and I'm very calm—no running up and down—because I'm going to allow things to play out as they come. No pressure at all.

Low budget Christmas:

Things are very choky financially, but the plan to travel home is still very intact. I just want to go and rest and eat excess food. But this cannot happen without finance, especially when it comes to providing for or supporting my parents with the loads of expenses at home.

And yes, that's the only major thing for me this season. Once a reasonable amount of money is dropped or a bag of rice is bought by me, I will wash off my hands from anything that will choke me with expenses.

I would have loved not to travel, which would greatly help me with my plans to spend less this festive season, especially with the high cost of transportation and the unplanned expenses that come up when you're in the midst of people at home (extended family). But I need the rest and want to enjoy the bond of my family because we haven't stayed together since last year. Also, my dad wouldn't even want to hear that I won't be around. He would just assume that I'm suffering at my base, hence the reason I decided to stay put. Lol. But in all these, my plans are not going to pass these limits, and I'm going to stick with them firmly.

Currently, there are a lot of expenses on my head that I'm trying to clear off before Christmas, and as funny as it stands, I haven't been bothered at all about summoning or gathering money for the Christmas season. My mind is at peace, and if eventually I don't get to generate the amount of money needed, I would just let it pass and not stay bothered. After all, this is not the last Christmas, and thank God my parents and family at large are very understanding. They won't pressure me to be in debt just for Christmas’ sake.

But if I can lay my hands on at least 100k before Christmas, that will settle everything in my plan. But the truth is, generating 100k before Christmas is a whole lot—except a miracle is going to happen. Maybe I could start earning 30 HBD per week here (on Hive) before the 25th of this year. Yes, it's possible!

The economy is very rough: These days, things are very expensive in my part of the world, and it's so rare for the average person to equate earnings with expenses. The worst of them all is how my country has become so high in insecurity that the only means of safe travelling now is through flight, and the cost of that is no joke when compared to the road trip.

Thanks for reading.

The unplanned expenses that comes with travelling back home is something that discourages people from going back home during festive seasons.

Making money is really hard oo, as a kid I thought it was easy. Raising 100k before Christmas will require a miracle or winning a lottery.
