A very entertaining day

Let me start by asking this question...

Is it only me that goes to church nursing the thought of a particular interesting event that will happen that day?

No way!

My yesterday (Sunday) started on a very good note. I woke up as early as 4:00 am, laid on the bed, while checking my Hive account and around 5:30 am, I got up from bed to prepare for church to avoid going to church late because a new rule was implemented in my church department stating that if anyone comes late before pre-prayer, there would be no officiation that day.

All through my preparation stage(bathing, dressing etc), I was busy calculating in my head the possible outcome of the match between Liverpool and Manchester City which would happen later in the day. I'm not a fan of either of the two clubs; I just wanted to entertain myself with the fiery battle that the two teams would present.

I got to church, not late, and I was so happy because before yesterday, I had been a regular latecomer and slight queries always came at me.

_{Let me tell you, the lateness here is not the normal lateness you know. Our church starts at 7:00 am, and it's expected that every member of my department gets to church on or before 6:30 am; anything later than that is tagged as lateness.}

Church started, working in the house of God was sweet as usual, but throughout it, the thought of the match kept tickling my mind, and I loved it. Although it later tried to steal my attention because normally, since I was in the house of God, I was supposed to focus totally on God, but I couldn't help it.

Another bugging issue that made this thing so disturbing was the thought of having a meeting later in the day which would jeopardize my plan. This kind of thing happened two Sundays ago, making me miss the Manchester United versus Manchester City match. So, I prayed all through so that they wouldn't implement an impromptu meeting.

Church ended, and yes, there was no meeting announced, and I left church for home feeling freed like a bird.

I got home and quickly made lunch (it was noon already). I tried to have a nap, but the sun's intensity was too much, and it made me sweat badly. I had to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes. I couldn't sleep, and I was not ready to blog, so I decided to watch a movie on my phone. It's "Alice in Borderland," which I enjoyed until 4:30 pm, when I had my bath again, dressed up, and trekked to the football center to watch the match.

Finally, the match I had anticipated so much...

I got there, and it was crowded already, people were making noises, and most of them were in support of Liverpool because:

• They didn't want Manchester City to win the League again.

• Manchester City beat Manchester United in a very disgraceful manner during their last match, and hey, Manchester United fans are always numerous in my area.

As for me, I was just there laughing at them, getting fully entertained as a Sunday is supposed to be.

The match ended 1:1 (draw), which I think the people were satisfied with because Manchester City didn't win. Lol 😅

I moved from there to my house, and when going back, I decided to stop at a fruit shop to buy some slices of pineapple, but the price humbled my pocket. I just let it be and went home to fill my stomach with enough EBA.
