WOMEN AND SHOPPING

I did not want to write on this topic at first because I felt I did not know much about women or their appetite to go shopping. Although I do not think that it is (all) women in general that enjoy shopping, and also it is not all men that do not enjoy shopping. I also think that people enjoy shopping for various reasons, for some it makes them feel good emotionally, buying something new for themselves gives them a sense of satisfaction. Others who work in some professional or high-ranking political positions find themselves shopping to keep up with the lifestyle their professions expose them to. The bankers and government officials are a very good example.

Then there are those who go shopping mainly out of necessity, I think this would be where I fall in, and I do not think it's because I'm a guy, I think it's just my personality. Some ladies go shopping for things they do not need, while some manage very well the things they have, and only go shopping for things they need but do not have. Even this category of shoppers could be regular. For example, if I always have money and can spend it at will, I might always find something I need and buy it with a single thought. This is where I can say ladies always have a need to look good, and to smell good, so if they are not shopping for clothes and shoes, they are shopping for their bodies.

Although I've seen a few ladies who do not care about looking good, and after speaking with some of them I got to know that they do not also care about love or finding a partner. In Fact, they do not care about how people see them, they would rather have you leave them to their way of life. This is why I think one thing common among most women is that they want to look good, smell good, and feel good (especially when they are complimented for looking good). It's not easy to look good I tell you. Recently I went to cut my hair for 2,500 Nigerian naira, which if my sister had not persuaded me I would rather use that money to cook a good pot of soup.

Sometimes I care about looking good, most times I feel it's a lot of work, but I'm not a woman, and I'm quite sure that I'm not ugly so washing my face and smelling good is enough except for special occasions when I might add some specials. If a lady decides to act like me, chances are that she will remain single for a very long time. The life of a lady is already difficult as it is, sometimes I feel for them as it could come with an unnecessary pressure to stay up to the trends, and it is usually only those who have been deeply rooted in their morals that would not give in.
