SELLING ONLINE
It’s been almost 10 years since I made my first sales online, after that I wanted more, but to be honest it did not come as I would have wanted. I remember hearing about digital marketing for the first time after nearly two years of looking for what to do after school. I learned a bit of programming but was not serious with it because even after 3 months I was not understanding anything my instructor was doing. He made it look so complicated then and now that I am looking back I realized that he wasn’t just a good teacher.
I was not satisfied with everything he was teaching so I decided to search for something else to do. I wasn’t really looking for money then but was happy when I discovered I could make one from digital marketing (whatsapp marketing to be precise) I was giving a product to market and taught how to market the product. This was my first ever digital marketing class and it was mindblowing for me. Today I look back and discover that I still use the knowledge I got from that class till this day. I remember how because I was among the very first people to sell the product I made more from it, in fact, it gave me my very first $1,000 which went down the drain at the end of the day.
I remember how enthusiastic I was about the whole process, getting over 1000 contacts, writing a simple sale pitch and sending a broadcast message on whatsapp and boom that was how I was landing sales back to back. Today the market has become saturated and getting a hot selling product is something I am not really good at. I still need to sharpen my marketing skills though because in truth I still have a lot to learn in this digital marketing space. I want to get to the point where I can make the kind of sales I made the very first time back to back and then I can proceed to learn how to sell anything in the digital marketing space. This is just me saying I will one day love to be a marketing guru.
