NO TIME TRAVEL

I’ve watched a good number of sci-fi movies and series to say that time travel is a NO NO for me. Even though I wish I were the fastest man alive and have the ability to run back in time I wouldn’t wish that everyone had that power else we would pray and give anything to get the world we have today. I can not even imagine the amount of catastrophe this kind of ability would cause. If everyone had the power to go back in time, people would commit all sorts of atrocities and get away with them. But then with the ability to go back in time comes with the ability to also sense when others go back in time, now imagine the war this would cause, because you will remember what has changed and if it’s something you don’t like, you could go and rechange it and before you know it, we are all fighting for how time is supposed to be while we break time itself due to the many changes.

Imagine waking up and discover your mother that was alive yesterday suddenly died five years ago because someone somewhere decided to change time and save their spouse from dying five years ago, and when you decide to go back to change the time and you succeed only to come back to the present to discover that because of the change you made time fractured again and now you never met your wife and the kids you have are now erased from existence in the new time period you created. Then you say you want to go back in time to make sure you marry your wife only to discover that this time your dad died three years ago two months after your wedding and now your wife has become barren because you all were involved in an accident that killed your dad and rendered your wife barren. Knowing that the single action of a person that never knew you had destroyed your once perfect life, if would be in your right to sick revenge to make them pay.

Now imagine this example I just gave happening in different places, countries and continents to over 8 billion people, what do you think will happen to time. I believe that will cause the chaos and armageddon the bible prophesied will happen because all hell would be let loose. This is not something I would wish on humanity, I doubt humanity would be able to handle two people with the ability to bend time to their will talk less over 8 billion people. I believe everything happens for a reason and we shouldn’t be given that authority to change or alter the past. There are countless possibilities that can occur from time travel, and I wouldn’t want humanity to suffer because of it. Humans and emotions are like rain in water, and one can not begin to imagine what a person would do when they stop being rational. I can’t even trust I will make the right decision talkless trusting others to do so.
