I remember how excited I was in 2016 when my dad was driving me to school, it was like a dream come true for me, all I wanted to do then was work towards graduating with a first class even though I didn't really fancy the course I was going to study. Fast-forward 8 years later, I had to give up my first-class dream in my 400 level when I decided all I needed to do was pass and not get a carryover. Life had dealt with me so much that I knew if I were to have any chances of not dropping out again, then I needed to get money more than I needed an “A”.

Thankfully it's all over now. I remember during graduation I said I wouldn't even read a signpost after graduation. It turned out I read more than that, and I'm hoping to do more. I knew that I didn't mean what I said, but I said it still, and look at me now, reading and writing for a living. I don't just do it here on hive, but I'm mandated to stay up to date with the latest trends of competitors which requires a lot of research reading. Turns out school really does prepare us for life huh, we might not do the X+Y=Z we were taught in classes, but at least we've learned to prepare for tasks (test) and opportunities (exams) of which many come unexpectedly.

MOVING FORWARD

Moving forward, I would still like to further my educational life, I don't wish to only have a degree. I have a passion for earth, nature, and minerals, and have always wanted to study geology. If I get the opportunity and all things being equal, I would love to study marine geology as a professional course. I also wish to have a degree in business management, project management, Social media management, and marketing. That's a lot I know, but I'm passionate about dominating the business world in not just Nigeria but Africa… I'm passionate about developing Africa's economy and I'm passionate about preserving nature as well as maximizing mineral resources to boost the economy of nations. But in all these, I'm more passionate about raising people who will one day be authorities in both government and business.

But I can't do all these with my current level of knowledge, I feel the need to grow, and I feel the need to catch up with time. Lately, I've been feeling like I'm wasting precious time, and my brain can't carry the amount of workload I'm putting on it. This has started making me forgetful in a lot of things because according to a friend “the reason I'm slow is that I like doing a lot of things at the same time. Even when I'm having fun, I could be watching a movie and playing video games on my phone at the same time else I will feel like I'm doing nothing. Now it's obvious that if I must achieve the things I desire, I must be specific at a time and grow quickly, but I'm bad at doing just one thing.
