MAKING A DIFFERENCE

It's my first time posting here in Hive Ghana community, and I'm very much excited about it because it was part of my agenda for the week. (call it my weekly goal) Moreso I'm excited because of the prompt I will be discussing In this post, which is something I know will be of importance to many, especially the newbies. So with no further ado, let's dive right into business.

HOW HIVE HAS STARTED MAKING A DIFFERENCE

I remember when I heard about Steemit in 2017 after my second year in School from my boss I was working with as an IT student. He even opened an account for me then, and I made a post or two after which I stopped because I never really knew the value. Fast forward to this present time, what would have become of me by now if I took it seriously six years ago... But that's not even the discussion for today, understanding that shit happens and that we humans have 101 reasons to fail is the reason I believe that Hive has the potential of making a big difference in the long run.

With thousands of users, and so many amazing projects being developed by great minds despite all the challenges the Blockchain has endured over the years, project hive and Steemit have succeeded in overcoming the first five-year period so many projects take before they fail. So as it stands it's not a question of if truly hive can make a difference, but to what extent can hive positively affect the world.

ORIGINALITY

With the invention of AI, in the long run, hive can become the only place where original contents from human authors are shared. I will like to call hive at this point a place for silent speakers, people like you and me who the world might never know because it is busy inventing technology to replace us.

BUILDING MORALITY WITH AN INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL HERITAGE

One of the things that made me decide to stay on Hive even when I was having the very bad days was the fact that I saw firsthand what it means to stay focused, dedicated, and consistent with the hard work to achieve your dreams as so many on hive has done so over the years. I wouldn't want to mention names in this post, but having gone through the stories of so many whales on the Blockchain, I have seen that indeed these guys are not superheroes, but ordinary people like you and me who started just the way we started, had needs and real-life difficulty along the way but decided to improve themselves in this space.

These attributes made many of these people achieve their goals and were not far-fetched from attributes of morality and culture. Things that should be emphasized in schools because they can lead to real-life success. Apart from this you also see empathy, fairness, and kindness being shown by a lot of people, because it's as though people here have chosen to be good. You see an alarming fight against corruption and wickedness which in many cases is not tolerated on the Blockchain.

A SOURCE OF INCOME AND SUPPORT

Before I talk about income and support, I will like to say that building healthy relationships is another cultured character the hive Blockchain tries to teach hivers. And In many cases, the result often leads to making hive a good source of income as well as support. I remember when my hive account was hacked, the support I got from well-meaning hivers was massive because of the little relationship I kept before time. I have also seen many ask for support and get it through the relationship they have built over time.

Now imagine in time to come when everyone looking for a place that's different from the world's already broken system, a place created by well-meaning individuals who only hope to do a piece of good on earth. Definitely, hive has the potential of becoming a legacy to not just the creators, but as well as the many who will strive so hard to make a difference in any way they can in a space that gives everyone equal rights. Tell me hive ain't making a difference already.
