FOOD SAFETY, FOOD POISONING

Food poisoning does not just begin with the ingredients added to the food, it can begin with the people who planted the seed of the crop. I remember some years back, I saw a farmer who planted cucumbers and harvested them in less than a month. I was baffled because it was just a little over two weeks I witnessed the farmer planting them. I knew that he used something in making sure it grew faster than normal, and was prompted to ask him. On asking I realized he used a number of chemicals on the plants to get the result he had and I could only imagine the adverse effect on the innocent consumers.

I have also seen where fowl feeds are mixed with all kinds of chemicals to make them grow. Imagine what happens after continuous consumption of those chickens. This system makes food unhealthy, at this point, eating junks seems like the the more safer approach, because the enemy you know is easier to deal with than the one you know nothing about. How much poison chemicals can you remove from a chicken that has been fed chemicals its whole life. This is why if it were possible, I would prefer planting my own food and greasing my own farm.

Safe food in today's world is almost going extinct, we can no longer trust the factories that produce our foods, because we do not know if they use ingredients that are not documented. If we must strive for healthy food, then we must begin with taking care of our soil, and allowing our foods to grow under as many natural conditions as possible. Otherwise we will be doing more harm than good in the future. Today even our fruits can not be trusted and there is always a big difference between the nutrition obtained from what was grown naturally and what was grown artificially.
