Father's Day

Today has been eventful.

I woke up today, and Kaleb gave me some presents, and I'm delighted with them.

I got a card, which is so nice as it's a picture of the two of us, as well as a really nice message.

I've never thrown away cards, but they do eventually find themselves in a shoebox. This one, however, will stay out on display forever.

He also got me a thermos, which is something I've been after for a long time now. Every time I think of it, when I'm out, I check them out in shops, but none have seemed that great. This one, though, is amazing.

I made a coffee at 11 and only finished it at around 5. It holds about two standard cups, so I'll have to remember that in the future when making a cup as the first one I made was a bit weak. I was delighted with how hot it stayed until it was finished. I think this is going to help me cut down on the amount I drink throughout the day.

Usually, if I have a coffee, I forget about it and half of the cup that's left starts to go cold, and I usually drink that only to then make a fresh one, for the same thing to happen.

He also got me a Lego set, which I built while he was eating his breakfast and watching a few cartoons.

Now, I have three of the 5 Star Wars Mecha sets.

I really like these little builds because each one has elements of the inspired character, while also looking interesting enough as stand-alone designs.

The fact that there are only 5 in total makes for a good choice of sets to collect.

I like the designs of the Mini Figures that came with the sets as well.

Now all I need is the Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper to complete them.

Getting this kind of reminds me of the mini rig sets my dad would buy me when I was a kid.

They don't take up a lot of space, and each build takes maybe 15 to 20 minutes to complete, which is also a plus when it comes to the smaller ones like these.

That's so sweet. My kids are grown up so they bought me beer and chocs. It's nice to be appreciated.

I was absolutely delighted with this stuff, you're right, it's nice to get a few pressies.

For my dad I got him a couple of Lego sets, which he'll most likely get me to build for him. Since there are two though, I'm hoping we could do one each one of these evenings.

I didn't get any Lego, but I may buy another set soon.
