I successfully swapped USDC for SURGE (all on base) from my Keystore wallet on LeoDex, but I don't see the balance show up in my wallet. Do I need to manually import the token (SURGE) into Keystore?

Basically, you are taking a loan. If you have $100 and wanna trade with $300, you set the leverage to 3x.

When u set the SL to 5% and you lose, you lose 15%.

Oh, thanks for the suggestion. I have no idea how MetaMask or Uniswap works. I prefer to continue on LeoDex since Base is an option in the Networks section of my Keystore wallet.

Yeah, and since it's not just any crypto company, but Tether(USDT), one of the biggest entities in whole crypto, it's pretty trustworthy, IMO.
