It's much harder to find it without a metal detector. Seems that the authorities don't want anyone to find it. You'd probably find far more WW2 debris than anything else.

In my area the traces of the 1st war are more visible. In the past, the detector was not forbidden and I used to go with my father. It is a very good area for exploration.
