Christmas was magical when I was a child. Sight, sounds and tastes always cue warm memories of family and friends gathering together in gift exchanges and specially dishes prepared for only this occasion.
Becoming an adult and facing real world problems and trials dulled my view of Christmas for a time. That child like expectations gave away to adult cynicism.
When I received Jesus as Lord and Savior, I saw Christmas in a new light and a new life. Not just the magic but the power of the true loving God.
