The annual traditional #silvergoldstackers Christmas Wish list challenge is in progress! Start anytime, preferably just before Christmas. Novice or veteran Stacker, this is the time to share those hard to acquire, to find or to afford silver gems you desire most to the Hive world. Hoping for that very special Santa, who scored big on a dubious crypto coin, so in an act of sheer gratefulness and generosity sends it to you as your Secret Santa gift.

I see this Stacking community as like the Granddaddy of stacking communities having started back in October 2011 longer than I have been stacking. I started my Stacking career on YouTube for a while before discovering this reddit community.


As you can see, this community currently boasts an impressive membership in excess of 135,000, how many are still active out of that perhaps the community admin knows.

Me, I sneak in on occasion to take in and marvel at the shiny wares in the event I get some spare time, just admiring and commenting.

As for my reddit presence, I do have a footprint there since the summer of 2014 but that was when I was just convinced that Crypto currencies were the real deal and began accumulating from BTC, LTC, and Dogecoin faucets. And I found plenty of support on reddit for them.

It wasn't until about 2018 when I joined the Silverbugs reddit community, keeping a low profile and only in a surreptitious way. I've already got my hands full with the Youtube stacking community and being brand new into Steem Hive community!

It was 2014 when the Silverbug Island rounds were just an idea, an idea that I should have taken advantage of in the subsequent years since. So I now find myself back tracking on this special silver round. Yeah, and it has the pirate ship on it.

"Hey Santa, if you are reading this, I would prefer the 2015 Silverbug Island round but any year round will do just as good, pretty please?" 🎅 "I'll be a good girl ...most of the time." 🤦‍♀

I believe the average mintage average 20,000 rounds for each year, there are antiqued and proof-like variants but I cannot confirm their quantities at this time or where to find that data. Regardless, each year has been completely sold out! And are only available on the secondary market at hefty premiums often in excess of 100% plus nosebleed shipping (because I live in Canada).

The Silverbug Island Silver round is my Day 4 item of my 12 Days of Christmas.

I am still surprised, I never thought there were modern collector coins and here you bring each time a more beautiful one than the previous one. Your design is extraordinary. Congratulations. I hope Santa doesn't forget to give you that coin you wish for. I do not ask Santa for anything, because if he manages to enter Cuba with his reindeer, we would use his sleigh for an illegal exit of the country.

That's why I think Santa is some benevolent alien from another dimension and can't really be human. His anti-tracking, Intelligence system, and transport technology is so advanced that the US military deems that his capture as a high priority. I think he has a secret account on hive but I can't find it. #asksantaonhive ?

I'm familiar with Silver Slayer, he's now working for Liberty and Finance so I congratulated him on his new job. I have one of his original Silver Slayer channel bars in a trade for half an LTC at the time, unfortunately he was associated with the BitConnect carnage in the past but I admire him making his comeback back into the Silver Stacking sphere though a bit tarnished. He's paid his dues so I still follow him on YT.

They're quite late with the last two issues, I believe the pandemic was the excuse, idk. But that is my chance to bag a round.

Of that many, some may drop out, maybe moved over to Silver Apes, or just no longer active and you can bet a there's a number of unscrupulous types who would want to know our addresses as they could make an uninvited visit to our homes to make a withdrawal. I haven't seen more than 400 members online at a time yet it may be telling.
I like our cozy little group.
I'm thinking about sharing some of my Hive posts there, may coax a few over.

There's only a few hundred that are actually online at any given time, so of the 135,000 accounts that exist how many are actively engaging. The far majority sit on the sidelines.
It would be fantastic if we had that many subscribers active on Hive.

I have never been a reddit user, heard of it yes, but never caught my interest. Impressive community there so it seems!

And it's nice to read a bit about your personal silver stacking journey (history, lol) here as well.

I like the round, I can imagine that you'd be ok with any of these, from what I can see you've been a great person and deserve to find a treat for Christmas.

Like most user accounts of this reddit Stacker community I engage in some of the posts but I have not shared much. Many stay quiet about their stacking. They exercise the first rule in Stacker security, "Tell no one!" fair enough. With a community so big I would hate for someone to recognize me in my part of town and find my address.
The Bloody Raven is my pirate alter ego, she flashes her swords every once in a while should anyone entertain the idea of dropping in unannounced.

Getting any one of my top 12 will be a treat. And I just got one crossed off the list too and a possible second one coming soon! ☠️
