Long time no activity

Hello everyone, Happy New Year and Happy New Month once again, it's been a while since I last dropped a post here, but this month I have decided to be accountable daily. Although I have missed two days already but I am hoping not to miss any day again.

So, I came across the #Marchinleo prompt for Day 2 that says; "What activity have you not done in a long time and why?" So I decided to jump on the prompt for my first post in my new daily journey of being here.

It is not a lie that things are becoming tough, the economy is not smiling and for a young man who has set goals, inspiration, achievements, and ambition, sitting down and folding hands isn't the best thing, not like I have been doing that but more efforts are needed now and not to forget that we hope for God's grace and favour to bless our hustles.

Well, as a teacher, we all know that we have little or no time for ourselves especially full-time private teachers, so it gets even harder to have time for other activities, and a teacher who teaches a subject like mine (mathematics) we all understand that it gets harder.

It's not like I don't have time, but I currently do not have enough time to indulge myself in activities I used to enjoy doing, I guess because I have more home private lessons even on the weekends, that are meant to be my off day, and the little time I have I use it for resting to avoid breaking down.

Also, I remember telling you guys that I am a fashion designer in training, so I am still doing my apprenticeship service, that means if I am not doing home lessons, I am in the fashion shop doing one or two or trying out one sewing style or the other so all that does not give me enough time like I used to have back then.

One activity I have not done in a long time and I so much miss is playing football, I used to play football with the street guys in the community where I live and I played so well that I got the name "Otamendi", I have missed this name as well because I am no longer available to join in the match because of my tight and busy schedule round the clock.

I don't know how they started calling me that name, and why but we all know that Otamendi is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a center-back for and captains Primeira Liga club Benfica, and ever since I started playing in the community, I got that name from the team members I play with.

Playing football has always been an activity I always looked forward to during the weekend because it was not just fun but always helped relieve me of the whole work days I experienced and prepared me for the next week of work days but now, I can no longer indulge in it, I think it has been a year or months since I last indulged myself in such activity, not got the time.

I don't know if I am ever going to have the time for this, but I am hoping that there will come a time when I will go back to hitting the ball and running around the field with my teammates, the shout, and all of the euphoria that comes with being on the field and doing what I enjoy doing.
