He bends for every naira,
Like it's gold falling from the sky,
While the leaders sit in Aso Rock towers, ABUJA Nigeria, Counting silver coins they didn't buy.

They build big houses in foreign lands,
Fly in jets above our cries,

While Mama sells pepper on the road,
And little Chinedu wipes his eyes

Children walk barefoot to school,
Hunger singing in their bellies,
Yet the news shows flashy cars,

The father returns with tired bones,
Eyes red, soul weak and torn,
But he hugs his child with a shaky smile,
Saying, “We go try again tomorrow morn.”

Oh Nigeria, land of beauty and pain,
Why must silver fall like rain—
Into pockets that don’t know our names,
While we burn beneath poverty’s flame?

Dear child, when you grow tall,
Be strong, be kind, stand for all.
Let your hands be clean and true,
So silver coins won't drown me and you.

Don’t forget your people’s cries,
Their dreams, their tears, their silent sighs.
Be the voice that speaks what's right,
Be the candle in this long dark night.
