Personal Finance: Our HBD Savings package is too tempting to be ignored.

Savings is one of the core elements of personal finance which isn't just something you have to know in theory. Nope. It goes beyond what is written in Finance textbooks.

For you to truly understand how stuff works and the ups and downs of saving money, you need to get into the habit of saving money so you will get first-hand experience of how it feels to have some money saved up somewhere while it earns some quid for you in form of interest.

Sometimes, it feels like Savings is one of those things people know is important and they would love to save up some quid for rainy days. However, they never really get to do it. This shows that being able to take out a percentage of whatever you earn each day or week to throw into your Savings isn't an easy thing to do.

It's even tougher to save at this moment when inflationary pressure is rocking the world financial system and currencies are losing their value with each passing day. When your earning isn't even enough to give you a fairly comfortable life, saving money becomes a really big issue for you.

That's true and that's why I'm never quick to make caricature of someone just because the person doesn't have something in his or her savings. Life is rough and it's not easy for anyone. Even when you decide to save and you end up making the wrong choice of where to save the money, you may end up regretting the decision.

Wrong choice about where to save money?

Is there anything like that? Oh, yeah!

If you are in a country like mine where inflation is rocking our economy and the value of our currency is getting dragged through the mud, you will surely have to think twice about where you save your money. It gets more serious when you are trying to take up a long-term savings package.

Banks are there and they will surely want to get you on board any of their Savings schemes, but I wouldn't venture into that. Not when I already know of better ways to go about it and also get some layers of leverage against the banking system.

This year has been chaotic for me on the financial front. I started spending like a crazy lad from the very first month and I'm quite overwhelmed by how much I've already spent this year. With what's left of this year, I'm genuinely trying to do justice to my Savings and I'm starting with a laughable 1HBD. Haha.

It's a pathetic number to have down there, but I'm onto something here. I'm looking forward to building the living hell out of this before the year runs out. Haha.

On a serious note, I was at a crossroad and had to decide between building my Savings or building my HP. My HP needs some touch of grace and I'm trying to give it a push. However, I also need to save something up for emergencies I will be throwing in bits in there and I hope no emergency will come knocking any time soon.

At the moment, I've already set a Savings goal for myself and I look forward to smashing that goal.
