On this path, stress always comes knocking.
When dealing with people who are stressed, one of the things that's noticeable is that these are people who have become overwhelmed by a situation and their life seems to be falling apart in one way or another. Also, when you find yourself in that same situation, you may end up dealing with the same stress they are going through.
There is already a long list of things that can lead to stress and the ones I understand the most are things related to working on the series of things I do each day which are geared towards giving myself, my family, and my future a better life. I'm quite lucky with the level of stress resistance I have. It's not even luck. It's effort. I've worked really hard to improve my stress resistance. So, the things that give me stress are not too many.
Part of the reason why I don't go under the bus is that, even though I'm a risk taker and I am empathetic, I still know how to take responsibility for my actions without saying "Oh, I deserve better or It's Unfair". I already understand that life in itself is unfair. So, I don't necessarily allow things that are outside my control to give me too much stress.
At the moment, the biggest stress I'm going through is in my attempt to convert a section of my room into a studio. Just yesterday, I bought a LED strip light which I will use to enrich the background of my videos.
I tried as much as possible to get one that was rechargeable or something that wouldn't need to be powered with electricity, but I couldn't get anything like that. So, I'm stuck with this and since I can't trust Nigerian electricity distributors to give me electricity when I need to shoot videos, I've been digging into alternative power sources.
I already have the contact of someone who installs Solar Energy and we got to discuss last night. The discussion didn't seem like something that would lead to step 2. So, I will be exploring other options today. This is while also looking into a decent place where I can buy Mic. I've already seen a decent one on Jumia online store, but I would prefer to get the mic from a physical store. Well, if I don't see any decent one after more research, I would have to opt for the one on Jumia and hope it becomes durable and fit for purpose.
Everything about these and a lot more are the things that are ganging up to give me stress. Haha. The good news though is that I'm figuring out how to deal with this situation as they pop up their head. I'm also carving out time each day for a mild workout. This helps me to stay sane and sharp.
Today is going to be another foundational day for what I'm working on and the stress will come knocking. But, I will stand tall.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
