Last Sunday before Lenten season...

After having a very busy week that's filled with Blessings and God's grace, wrapping it up by going to Church on a Sunday morning is something I would always welcome. This is the second Sunday of February and this Sunday will be introducing us into a week that promises to be event-packed.

On one hand, we have Valentine's Day which is sneaking up on us. That would be held on Wednesday. On the other hand, Ash Wednesday is also on the way and that will mark the beginning of the Lenten season. Yeah! That time of the year is already knocking down our door. I feel ready for it.

Today, being the last Sunday before the beginning of the Lenten season, I didn't expect I would be late to church, but I ended up being late to it. I can't blame anyone for that. It happened by my own making, but the good news is that I wasn't too late to the Mass. I was there before we started the readings.

Today's Mass was wholesome. Being in church today made me feel prepared for the 40 days of fasting and prayer that the Lenten season will be presenting to us. We also had a little question-and-answer segment during the sermon. It made the sermon more interesting and also more educative.

I initially thought of taking pictures after today's Mass, but due to some circumstances, I ended up forgetting everything about that. So, every picture I'm sharing here are from previous Sundays.

I walked back home afterward and was able to get home before noon. I didn't even think too much about what to eat. I didn't have to... I just dived into work. I had some urgent work to get into and I knew best to get to that early enough.

I was able to devote 90 minutes to that and I got to interact with home afterwards. It was a very short call between my Mum and myself. We checked up on each other and I'm glad that she's fine and doing alright. With all that done, the next thing I did was to eat something. I have stew in the fridge. So, all I needed was white rice.

I just finished eating and currently sharing this with y'all. I won't be spending a lot of time online today. I will just draft this post have it published, and clear my notifications on Hive, Discord, and X. Then, I will check my feed to curate some other posts. Once I'm done, I will take some moments to engage in some offline activities.

It would be nice if I could check out my watchlist, but I don't think I can get that done. What I know for sure is that I'm expecting someone to show up this evening and fetch water for me. Water scarcity is hitting us hard over here. The dry season is also a big issue. I've had to spend a fortune to get water supplied to my apartment.

The last big thing on my to-do for this day is to go to a football viewing center by 9pm GMT+1. That's when Nigeria will be playing the AFCON finals against Ivory Coast. I don't want to raise my expectations high, but I genuinely want Nigeria to win this. It will be an amazing feeling. Hehe.

That's pretty much how this Sunday will be unfolding for me. Have a Sublime Sunday, y'all.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
