I've had rough experiences in life and I always make an effort to put myself out there and play a heroic part in making people's lives better. Somehow, the joy of helping people succeed has become something I love to feel. It's something I want to explore more with each passing day. A very simple goal with so much complexity.

The desire to help people get themselves together is a very courageous goal, especially for someone like myself who's still dealing with a couple of things and whose life is still filled with struggles. However, I've come far from where I began my hustle and I'm always grateful for everything I've experienced so far.

Throughout my adventurous attempt to help people get themselves together at different stages of my life, I've seen a lot of testimonies from them and I'm always excited to watch each person thrive in any way possible.

When I completed my National Youth Service in the first quarter of 2021, I still had a few months of rent remaining and I could have cashed out on that remaining rent. However, I got someone else to stay in the apartment for the rest of the months that's pending in the yearly rent I paid when I moved into the apartment.

The same thing applies to the properties I had over there. This was when the Covid19 pandemic was beginning to get eased and the economy wasn't smiling at anyone. I gave out my bed, household items and kitchen utensils to those that needed it and it helped them a lot.

The same thing applies to my online activity. I've been able to introduce so many people to Hive Blockchain and I've been there to help answer their questions whenever they have one. I don't take credit for anyone's success. I'm just like a happy Dad who wants nothing but success for them. And, it always feels good to see them grow and thrive on the blockchain.

However, do y'all know that there is always a side to every onboarding adventure that's not fairly inspiring?

Yeah!

Some people have a knack for being very ungrateful and they go steps further to make caricatures of the sacrifice you've made for them.

I'm a member of a very reputable Youth organisation in my church, Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON). The members are usually made of youths and it's not uncommon to see youths who are still struggling to put their life together. When I moved from the Southeastern part of Nigeria to the Southwest, I noticed that a lot of people in the organization could benefit from learning about content creation and Cryptocurrency.

During a skill acquisition seminar, I used the opportunity to teach them about Crypto and onboard them to Hive Blockchain. A lot of them showed interest because they noticed it was an opportunity to monetize their activities. However, that was the genesis of my back-and-forth drama with them. I spent so many weeks guiding them through the process via physical interactions, texting and voice calls.

I invested a lot of time and resources to help them thrive. I even exhausted my RC and had to get my Hive friends to help delegate to them. It was a very 'interesting' experience. After breaking myself in half to help them thrive, EVERY ONE of them took my time for granted. Along the line, I discovered that they were all looking for a get-quick-rich scheme and y'all know that Hive isn't the place for people like that.

Not even a single one of them managed to make a fairly decent effort towards growing their account. Yet, most of them will always call be Boss or Senior Man or Rich Guy. Up to this very moment, I know that I'm thriving via the things I do here. However, they are too complacent to diligently do what's necessary to thrive.

It was a humbling experience...

I didn't feel good about the outcome of the whole thing and I can remember getting invited to run the same training this year, during a deanery skill acquisition program, but I openly declined and clearly told them why I'm not inspired to avail myself for it.

You know what's funny? If I charge them to teach them about anything, they will pay and take the training seriously. But, because everything about helping them get into content creation and Cryptocurrency came freely, they naively jeopardized the opportunity.

I still teach and guide people till this very moment and I don't charge a penny for anything about that. However, the first step I take is to gauge the seriousness of the person. If you are serious and ready to make effort, I will give you 101% of my attention. However, if you are lazy and unprepared to learn, I will skip you and use my time for those who will genuinely appreciate it through genuine hardwork.
