Dreem Tools... I'm already taking the next step.

avatar

When I see people who have become really extraordinary and incredibly inspirational, I pause to see what's going on and I try to understand how they got that far in life. Which route did you take? If you achieved this, I would also like to keep dreaming until I turn my dream into a Dreem.

I just can't help thinking of that and I consider myself to be exceptionally ambitious. When I dig into the life of those that are living life on their terms, the answer I usually get is that these folks busted their ass to get to where they are at the moment.

They had a Dream, but they didn't allow that dream to remain a dream forever. Instead, they made countless effort to turn that dream into their reality. That's such a brave step to take.

I've already highlighted My Dreem Space a week ago and in today's post, I will talk about three tools I need to take the next step towards making it a reality.

A Mentor.

The things I hope to achieve are a huge challenge and I have a knack for being alert whenever I'm taking up a very huge challenge. I've already done my plus & minus and I know that what I'm chasing is worth the adventure. It's so easy to get emotional in this and go all-out with the drive that pushes me forward, but it's also important to be careful to avoid making unnecessary mistakes. This is where it becomes important to have a mentor around.

You know what that's like in a gym when bench pressing. Right? Whenever you are lifting a weight that's at the borderline of your ability, it's advisable to have a spotter who's there to see you push and make sure you won't put your life in jeopardy. Think about a mentor as that spotter.

A lot has changed about me. The me of 4 years ago wouldn't care about a mentor. I've always been a lone wolf and I'm still like that. I like to brainstorm and take care of things alone. It has so much to do with my family background as the first son and first child in a family of 5 children. It kinda shows that my current willingness to have a mentor is already a courageous deed in itself.

Continuous Learning.

One of the things I've learned over the years is that there is always a willingness to do something, but we can't get things done with that alone. We also need to have the capability to do things. Let's face it; there is so much to learn in life. So much about Finances, Society, Humanities, Spirituality, and we even have so much to learn about ourselves.

The things I hope to achieve in life are quite complex and I know I need to learn and practice so much with each breath I take. When I see something that I believe would help me get closer to achieving my Dream, I put my skill and character to the test. Most of the time, this helps me to give a spark to my inner self.

It can be challenging like when I needed a laptop in 2020 to learn about a software. Mine crashed during that period and I had to improvise to learn what I had to learn. It is quite expensive to learn certain things I need to learn in order to get closer to achieving my dream. Some costs the amount of money which I currently don't have while others costs a scary amount of time.

Resilience & Patience.

There is a particular thing that I've been working on for almost two years and the journey has been one of the most daring adventures of my life. I will just say it; I've been exploring routes to legally leave my Country. Two years is a very long time to work towards this and you can only imagine the sort of rollercoaster ride of experience and emotion this has turned out to be.

I'm not working on this alone. I have my mentor who's like a Mum to me and has been part of every step I take in this journey. We've made a lot of sacrifices to find a route and we are still digging. We've tried several options within the last two years and we are still relentless. We ain't giving up. We are still pushing and we have been very patient even in the face of suffering, challenges and disappointing results.

She's not giving up and I know I need to continue to be patient and resilient. I don't want to give up on the things we are working on. Even if we fail again and again, I still want to take lessons from that failure. Being patient and resilient will surely take me closer to my Dreem Space.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma.

Dreems. It takes steps... a lot of energy and sharing this makes it fair to say you are doing so well. I know it isn't easy. Life isn't fair to anyone. We have all had our moments of shame... and then victory, which is why I pray that your victory comes faster because you deserve it. We all do.

Yeah. Life is quite hard and everyone is faced by the rough side of it. Running away from life isn't helpful either. We just have to persevere and keep on pushing until we get more than we deserve.

All of these are very necessary in the journey or achieving a dream.
Mentors give light to our paths and making us not so stumble, but clear the hurdles like a good Athletics.

We keep learning, for sure💯! And patience can't just be pulled out, especially in a country like ours😄

Brother. That's it ooo. We need to have all these in mind. There are several boxes we have to tick and it take a great deal of patience to get through them, especially when we want to achieve something huge.

A mentor is seen as a pillar of strength and positivity!

This is why when they speak to you, you feel the energy to keep up your game! At some point in life, we draw strength from those figure we see and admire their personality because we see our future reflection in them.

Keep your plans going, you will get there definitely...it's just time but certainly! Cheers Kene!

Thanks so much, Cesca. That's all true. We need mentors in life. There are moments when we can easily tap from their experience and those moments come very often when we are pursuing a very big goal.

We are all taking the right path 👍.

All the tools mentioned are important but I learned another tool from your post having a mentor.

I will also add that to my tools for accomplishing a great dreem.
Thanks for sharing with us

Yeah. It's very important to have a mentor. It's something I had to learn over the years, but I've always been the one that does my things on my own and by myself.

Doing your things on your own, hmmm🤔🤔.
Maybe you've not met with the right mentor
