Are you thrilled about the first half of this year?
Just a few moments ago, we all celebrated the coming of a New Year and I'm sure a lot of people had big goals when stepping into this new year. Now that we are already wrapping up the first half of the year, a quick check by some people shows that they really haven't achieved so much so far.
It is in moments like this that people begin to question how they have spent the year so far. And, a lot of people are not often so thrilled about the outcome of that research. I also know how it feels to be in that position. It's an ugly thing to know that you have so much to do and it seems like time is slipping through your finger when you haven't really been able to achieve most of your goals.
Well, this first half of the year has so far been an interesting adventure for me. Just like a lot of people, I've had my high and low moments and I will be using this post as an opportunity to share a few of the things that punctuated this first half of the year for me.
They are;
1. My Finance Got Messy.
This isn't an inspiring experience in any way, but it happened. Immediately after this year kicked off, I ran into a couple of issues that subsequently wrecked my finances by 60-70%. Imagine having to deal with that at the beginning of a fresh year. It was tough to face that challenge when it came and the truth is that I'm still trying to recover from that till this very moment.
How I've been managing to survive since January till now without incurring debt or getting broke is still a surprise. There were lessons to learn from what I faced and I didn't miss out on those.
2. Investing in Solar Energy.
Anyone who knows anything about Nigeria would know that the scarcity of electricity is one of the major issues we deal with in this part of the world. It's not even newsworthy anymore. This has always been an issue since I was old enough to spell my name and it's still the case two decades later. I've had to deal with a lot of loss in the past due to insufficient supply of electricity.
So, part of the things I invested in this year was in Solar Energy. I did that two months ago and I must say that every penny it cost to have my apartment powered with solar energy is worth its weight in gold. Now, I don't get too bothered about the scarcity of electricity. The Solar Energy I have offers a very decent alternative.
3. Creating Projects.
Despite the hit my finances took in this first half of the year, I've still been able to start up some fairly decent projects both on Web2 and on Web3. You'd know that I started a YouTube channel, right? That was a few months ago. I started a reaction channel and got some copyright claims on some of my content. I did further research about that and decided to explore a different side of Video content creation. Something different from a reaction channel.
I also run The Thinker's Corner challenge which holds monthly on this Blockchain. Feel free to check that out and keep your ears open. This month's prompt will be made public soon.
Feels like one heck of an adventure, right?
That's what this first half of the year has been for me. It's been a wild ride and I'm looking forward to how the rest of the year will unfold.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Commas.

Just mention my name 😂 I have even given up on some goals, we try again next year 😅.
Solar energy is one thing I have been looking forward to getting, especially now that the electricity in this country has gotten worse. Congratulations on finally switching to solar power, I'm definitely going to get one too, even though I have to start small
Bro... With the way this country is going, having solar energy as a primary source of energy is very important, especially of you are someone that need electricity for your day to day work. Haha.
Investing in if has proven to be a good decision
Sometimes the ride is smooth and some other time it's bumpy still, we keep moving.
The solar power is actually the best at a time like this and I hope to get one soon.
Thanks for sharing.
True. We are never really sure of what the future holds for us. We just have to keep doing our best at every point.
You seem to have hacked the light issue of this country. Getting solar as an alternative is surely a great achievement especially because the end of the electricity challenges are not in sight.
What a first half you have had already, and I enjoyed the first video you posted on your YouTube channel, you are doing well.
Bro... I've really exempted myself from the electricity drama we get in this Country. Having solar energy as a primary energy source has proven to be a good investment so far.
I look forward to how the rest of the year will be.
Goodluck on your projects! Hoping that you could make them successful:)
Thanks so much. I'm doing my best to make it a success
I think the highlight for me is the solar energy. I remember how even your landlord has an issue with it but you still went ahead. That’s a really great sustainable way of living and I’m proud you did that investment.

Thanks so much. The insufficiency in our Power supply is one of the things that forced my hand to invest in Solar Energy as a primary energy source and the decision has been worth it since then till this very moment.
The year hasn't been rosy. But, there are still some really inspiring moments that have been punctuating the year for us. Hehe.
If I am to score your performance this half of the year I'll give it a 70%. You've really achieved landmark projects. Congratulations.
Thanks so much. We keep doing our best to achieve as much as possible at every given moment.
