Anything that will make Mum sad is not allowed to happen.

My Mum has always been very protective and very caring. She could sacrifice so much of her own happiness in order to be sure that our household is in good order and that every other person is happy. Ever since I grew up to know more about my Mum, I've seen her make so many decisions without thinking of herself first. It's usually about us and giving each of us a good life.

This is why she always goes on to work a whole day only to use her earning to get things that are needed by each of us. I can still recall when I was in boarding school and even during my university days. As the first child of the family, I understood how tough things are at home. So, I'm always very careful of how I spend the money I have at hand.

However, there always comes a moment when I need to spend on a particular thing and it turns out that I'm cashless. During those moments, because I basically have no other person to call for assistance, my only option is always to get in touch with home and in more than 90% of those moments, I usually call Mum and she never failed. She has emptied her savings a bunch of time for me and my siblings and she has spent her last penny to get stuff that is needed by either of us.

Having to see her make so much sacrifice made me to have very great respect for my Mum. I genuinely have great respect for her and I appreciate all she has been doing as a Wife and also as a Mum. She does her role to a tee and despite the fact that I've been away from home since years ago, I always like to live the type of life that Mum will be proud of.

Talking about my favorite memory of my Mum...

• I can still recall the excitement my Mum usually have on her face whenever my siblings and I do well in our academic results.

• I remember her excitement whenever she saw my siblings and me behave in ways that are upright, decent, and honorable.

• Mum is always the happiest whenever Dad, my siblings, and I come home safely after each day's adventure. Hehe.

You can already see the connection, right?

My favorite memory of my Mum always has to do with her being happy. I know I've seen Mum in her best and worst moments and I wouldn't want her to ever experience anything that will make her sad. Nope! Her happiness is my priority and I can genuinely say the same about my siblings.

As far as we are concerned, anything that will make Mum sad is never allowed to happen.
