Abigail (2024); I'm sold on this Cinderella Vampire theme.
Very often in Western movies, children are always highlighted as angelic beings who are pure, harmless, and naive. This has never been a problem because that's what is expected of kids. We want them to be kind, fragile, pure, and every other angelic thing you can think of.
Well, I just watched an interesting Movie and the tagline for the Movie is "Children can be such monsters". That was enough to make me very curious about what this movie is all about. I got into it without going through any promotional material for the Movie. I didn't read the synopsis and I also didn't check the Movie trailer.
Let's get into a little highlight of what this movie is about;
Movie: Abigail
Genre: Horror, Thriller.
Release Date: April, 2024.
Runtime: 1h 49min
For what it's worth, this Movie is an interesting rollercoaster ride of thrilling horror and there are a lot of jump scare moments. Anyone who's already a fan of Movies that fall into this category will be spoilt for choice with the creativity poured into the horrifying scenes in this Movie. So, if you are ever considering adding this to your watchlist, I suggest you strap your boots and hold tight to your popcorn.
The show highlights a young girl who's a ballerina dancer. The opening sequence was a display of cinematic brilliance as the young lady was practicing her ballerina dance movies while there was a transition to a scene where a group of professional kidnappers were executing a kidnapping attempt. Both scenes got synced with a revelation that the kidnapping target was Abigail, our ballerina dancer.
The Kidnappers successfully pulled off the kidnapping attempt and went to a safe house where they just had to hold Abigail for 24 hours before getting the ransom. What each of the kidnappers didn't know was the identity of the girl they kidnapped. It turned out that Abigail was the 13-year-old daughter of a reputable underground figure.
Discovering Abigail's family background got each of the kidnappers rattled. Some were ready to step out of the job and forgo their share of the ransom. Others wanted to get through with it. However, what they didn't know was that Abigail wasn't just a fragile little kid who was under their custody. Nope, she is actually someone who deserves to be feared.
Not just because of her father's reputation. Nope...
I genuinely wish these folks didn't give away the "Ballerina Vampire" spoiler in this trailer. That would have been a very huge twist. So, if you're interested in watching this, I suggest you hold off on watching the trailer. Just watch the Movie and get back to the trailer when you are done. Hehe.
For those who already watched the trailer, how does it feel to see a Vampire Ballerina being a nightmare in a mansion filled with professional criminals? Haha. This show and the story are a breath of fresh air. I'm all in for the thrill and the adventure. This also gets into my highly recommendable Movie for all lovers of horror Movies.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

Saw this movie recently and I must say I was impressed, my time spent watching it wasn't a waste, I even saw it at night damn I was really scared that night to the point I couldn't sleep.
Hahah... This Movie and the way the story unfolded took me by surprise. I thought it was going to be a typical hostage/kidnapping situation. However, everything turned to a bloodbath when Abigail started her hunt. Haha.
Same thing I expected but then a lot of things unfolded!!!
Now I am definitely going to see this movie. Someone recommended this movie today and he was telling me how intriguing it is. Now that you (the movie lord) have given a review, I am fully convinced that it would be a good watch.
Here I come Abigail
Hahah... I decided to watch it without knowing what to expect. I sure didn't expect this would turn into a horror movie. Haha. That was a pleasant surprise though. I enjoyed watching the Movie.
Alright then, I guess I would have a good time.
Looking at the trailer and the review, I am definitely sure this will be a great movie to definitely watch
It's a really good one. The Movie took an interesting turn and it's a really good watch, especially for anyone that enjoys Horror Movies. Hehe
The dangerous children argument is preponderant. It draws attention to being different or different.
True. And, I know that when it comes to Movies or TvShows, people like projects that give a taste of being different.
Ahhh you did not quick and talk, I've watched the trailer already 😂 and as it stands, I won't see this movie.
Ballerina vampire ko 😂
Hahah... They really gave away a little too much in that trailer. The Movie was so good for me because I watched without reading the synopsis or knowing anything about the trailer.
However, just when I was writing the review, I checked out the trailer and my reaction was "nah! Y'all are exposing too much in this". Haha.
I assume that people that enjoy horror Movie will mostly like to dive in without knowing so much about where the horror will come from. Haha
Haha... this movie is lit! I had fun watching it as well. Gosh! Those fun moments of just shining my eyes to see what's next. It was truly remarkable, and I hope our horror movie, Madam @princessbusayo, has seen this gem!
The movie rocks!
This was a pure masterpiece. I'm not even the biggest fan of horror Movies. Yet, I laud the storytelling and the cinematic brilliance highlighted in this Movie.
It's a wholesome package.
Hehe, yeah. They did so well with this.
I saw this movie last night and I was surprised, I closed my eyes at times because I didn't want to see more blood. I never imagined anything that happened. It happened to me like you, I started watching it without knowing anything about it and with what you see at the beginning I just thought it was action and it was a kidnapping gone wrong. But nothing of what happened.
Exactly. That was exactly what I thought and I like how things took a wild and unexpected turn. Being caught in a surprise with the horror is one of the things I thoroughly enjoyed about the Movie.
I really want to see it and see how it goes, I've heard and read interesting things about it and it catches my attention. Fortunately I haven't seen the trailer and after what you say I don't plan to do it, many times they bring some nonsense spoilers.
Exactly. Since you haven't seen the trailer, it's best you see the Movie first before getting into the trailer, if there is still need for that. Haha. They gave away too many spoilers in the trailer.
Greetings @kenechukwu97, I liked your review, although I do not like this genre, I am curious, since it is about kidnappers then I want to see how he will take revenge on them.
Cool. I'm also not the biggest fan of horror movies. I mostly go for action Movies. For this particular one, it started off and gave me the vibe of an action Movie. However, it took a wild turn and became a horror Movie. Haha.
It was an interesting watching experience
