Hello, Elusive Time

I must catch up with Time
Always running, always on the move
Not a moment of rest
May I not have Time to move
At my pace?

Every stroke of the hands
Twenty and four hours
Fourteen hundred and forty minutes
A countdown to an inevitable end
Like an unending circle
An unstoppable merry-go-round

I must race with Time
To elongate my life
To tick every passion off the list
The more I race, the faster it moves
Like an elusive target
On my journey

An epiphany!
Must I race with Time
Being an integral part of the universe
As much as I?
Every moment must be meaningful
If I go at my steady pace
Making my journey worthwhile

Oh Time,
You must do your thing
While I do mine
Our paths must cross and align
Like crystal stars in a night-dark sky
For such is life
Yet I must enjoy my journey
At my pace.

When I'm alone with my thoughts, I often come up with the weirdest things. Sometimes they don't make sense, but I try to make sense of them! Like the concept of Time, I find it to be an intriguing subject so I composed this poem.

What meaning do you make of these verses? I'll gladly welcome your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Your weirdest ideas are actually products of deep thinking. Time indeed is always on the motion, to make best use of it, one need to move in it's pace

The concept of time (and space) is a strong trigger for humanity living in the 3D realm. As we perceive our life on this beautiful planet as finite, we're faced with our deepest fears early on in the game. Some ignore it, others struggle with it and than you have those who simply let go and enjoy the earthly experience. Beautiful read Kemmy; asking the tough questions while trying to make the most out of this journey.

Well said! Best way to make the most of our journey is to face these fears while enjoying the experience. Every moment counts! Thanks so much for your insightful comment. !PIZZA 🙂
