Monomad: Forever Calls
As we know the journey to forever takes two persons to agree to become one and then decide to stick together forever. But this doesn't involve a rush because in Nigeria weddings are a bit different, it's a big deal. can be one of the most difficult things to plan so kudos to couples out there, because every wedding has to be standard it can never ever be too small a wedding in Nigeria.
because parents don't want to hear the word minimal.
Walking Down the Aisle: the Bride and her Father
But that's aside, this is the wedding of a client of mine I had done their traditional pictures so this is like the white wedding, the pictures are in sections. firstly, I took pictures of the bride and her father walking down the aisle to go meet her husband to be on the altar.
Officially handing over the bride to the groom's family
Then after, the pastor requested that both families of the couple should please step forward and so they did and it was demanded that the bride's family officially hand her over to the groom and the grooms family.
Declaration of vow
Afterwards, the families were ask to take a step back and the faced the altar, they were asked to exchange vows before the Lord and also exchange rings which is a symbol of their union. This is a beautiful thing to witness, thses are words that bonds them together. Promising to love each other everyday of their life and doing life with each other no matter what, right in front of their family, friends and loved ones.
Kiss your bride session
The favorite part to see at a wedding is the "You May kiss your bride moment". Everybody was waiting to see, the Bride was already very eager to kiss but the husband on the other hand was very very shy. The pastor had to plead with the Bride that she calm down as they were still in church, he had to plead that they kept it light, which kept the crowd laughing.
Lovely picture of the bride
Then I had an opportunity, to take a personal portrait of the bride in church that was really beautiful because I happened to jump on the chance and got a portrait picture of the bride in church. because wedding can be quite the stressed and every moment count so while the time is available I use it wisely.
The Groom
But then I also have a portrait picture of the groom. I wasn't taken in the church, but that's because I have already taken the grooms picture at the hotel, photographers, can never get enough pictures.
His white suit was very rich, it did stand out matching the white dress that the Bride had on the day.
The Groom,Best Man, and Ring Bearer
I went ahead to take picture of the groom the best man and the little groom or rather the ring bearer it really a great sight having in one picture three great men who had been on very wonderfully Tailored suites, theirs were of the same color to match that of the groom, I refused to miss that moment.
