Fresh Air, Green Hills, and Golden Sunsets

Happy Wednesday Hivers!

It’s been quite a while since I last went hiking in the mountains, and I’ve started to miss the feeling of walking. Since my niece doesn’t have classes yet and my sister hasn’t returned to work, we agreed to go for a hike in the mountain near the subdivision where our father lives.

I can’t really say that I’m the only one who enjoys this place, since many people also come here to hang out and take pictures and videos. It’s no wonder why, because this spot offers a stunning view where you can see both the mountains and the sea.

We agreed to start our hike at around 4 p.m. so we could reach the spot in time to catch the sunset. The sunset is one of my favorite things to watch, so I specifically requested that time, and fortunately, they agreed.

Since it had been raining for the past few days, the trees on the mountain looked so fresh and vibrant, everything was a beautiful shade of green. The view was truly breathtaking, something that could really make you say “wow.”

Did you know that a lot of people also come here at night? It’s a great spot for stargazing, and you can even enjoy the view of the city lights. I haven’t tried hanging out here at night yet, though, it’s still on my list.

Since it’s a mountain, the climb can be quite exhausting—but that’s actually one of the things I’ve missed. That feeling when you’re out of breath and sweating all over, it makes you feel alive. When you work full-time in an office, you spend most of your days just sitting down. That’s why, when I finally found the time to go hiking, I made sure to go for it.

When we arrived at the place, we didn’t go home right away, we wanted to enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful view for a while. It felt nice to stay longer, especially since there wasn’t anything urgent waiting for us at home. Spending time in nature just feels different; afterward, it’s like your mind and body have been completely recharged.

When it started to get a bit dark, we decided to leave the place since we still had to stop by our father’s house. My niece really loves visiting her grandfather, so we dropped by for a while. And that’s it, this is my #wednesdaywalk entry, initiated by @tattoodjay.

It's Maghaway. It's a mountainous part of Talisay.
