I was a bit shocked when I first read this. Then I noticed that the small print explains why. So I kind of understand that. But is it really any different from saying, don't use a calculator or spell checker, even though they are universally acceptable these days?

Good comparison, AI will be used as a calculator nowadays, no doubt about that, I think the job application process needs to be adapted to take both AI and relevant non-AI skills into account.
