Freshwater crab
This is a Freshwater crab. It is most commonly seen in water bodies in our region. Such creatures can be seen especially where there are water hyacinths. They are usually aquatic animals. We can see these animals here almost throughout the year. Especially here we don't eat them. When I was walking along our road a few days ago I saw these animals lying in the road although I unfortunately found these animals dead. They are often found in paddy fields or crop fields, but when they are present in paddy fields, they cause damage to rice plants because their pincers are very sharp and cut the rice plants with them.
Our region is a low water body. There is mostly monsoon water here. Especially in the west of our village there is a huge reservoir which is mainly used for rice cultivation in one season. And the rest of the time is submerged in water. Even at the time of paddy ripening, there is water in the fields. Besides, there are small rivers and small holes on the east side of our village where these Freshwater crabs can be seen in abundance. But when they go to catch them, they come close and sometimes strike very hard with their toes. When I played with them when I was younger, I sometimes experienced the pain of the pressure from their rings. Anyway, they look pretty good. A few days ago I took some photographs when I saw them lying on the road.
