Los hermosos aguacates de mi patio
Blessed day dear Hive friends, I hope you are having a wonderful week. Today I would like to tell you a little bit about the great blessing that my family and I have at home, it is our avocado tree that gives us the most beautiful and tasty avocados you can imagine. Because we have the joy of having this tree at home, I thought I would do a little research on the health benefits of this delicious fruit and some curious facts that I would like to share with you.
I tell you that it is the only tree we have in our yard, this tree besides giving shade, once a year gives us the most delicious avocados. Everyone in my family loves to accompany meals with a slice of these creamy avocados. Last year, when we returned to Venezuela, the harvest was over and we could not enjoy the fruits of our only tree, that is why this year we were looking forward to them.
This tree was already there when we bought the house and the former owner recommended us not to cut it, but we never imagined that it would give us such big fruits. This tree is very particular because it turns out that when you remove the fruits, they do not ripen properly, that is why we have learned to have patience and to know how to wait when the tree decides to give them to us, they fall every morning when they are ready for their ripening process that takes only two days.
Usually, other avocados need to be wrapped and stored in dark places to accelerate their ripening process, but to ripen these avocados we only need to leave them at room temperature without any kind of wrapping.
When it is harvest time we share our fruits with family, neighbors and close friends, everyone loves the flavor and creaminess of our avocados.
Avocado is a fruit rich in vitamins and minerals making it an ideal food to include in our daily diet. According to the article: El aguacate ayuda a tu salud y a prevenir padecimientos
"It contains about 15 nutrients ranging from calories, carbohydrates, protein, dietary fiber, Vitamins A, C and E, Folates, Potassium, Magnesium, Iron, Calcium and Sodium, as well as monounsaturated fat."
Consuming avocados regularly helps to improve and prevent some chronic diseases, but its benefits are not limited only to consumption and food; avocados have long been used as a main element in the development of cosmetic products that have to do with skin and hair care. I was also able to learn that there are a variety of home remedies that are prepared with the seed and leaves of the avocado, so it can be said that it is a fruit that you can get the most out of.
