Hive Arte || Trazos monocromáticos

Happy and blessed start of the week friends of Hive Arte. I greet you once again from my little creative space. Today I share with you some monochromatic drawings that I have made in my spare time.

The first drawing consisted of drawing a series of rectangles of different sizes, but all of them very well aligned to achieve a harmonious composition. After drawing the different rectangles with the help of a ruler, the next step was to round the corners a bit using a black fine tip marker.

The next step is to draw different shapes and line patterns inside each rectangle. The idea is to draw freely whatever comes to mind depending on the size of the rectangle. In my case I drew curved lines, spiral lines, straight lines, leaves, flowers and many other shapes that came up as I was filling the rectangles.

The following drawing is simply an exercise to learn how to draw flowers with thin petals similar to daisies. In this opportunity I drew the flowers with black marker, but in a later exercise I drew them in different colors and they were also very nice. This flower model is very easy to draw as long as you follow the steps to achieve harmony in the size and position of the petals.

Both drawings were a very entertaining and relaxing exercise. Both were useful for me to practice my freehand strokes. I recognize that I still have a long way to go to learn how to draw cleaner lines, but the important thing is that I really enjoy the process.
