Potential

In conclusion, it was a bad idea. But at first it looked very promising. It was hard to build such a large vessel in the backyard of the old, worn-out apartment building where they lived. But when you are two good friends with great potential, you can really get things moving in much less time than you would expect. A lot of people who have a lot of potential really make it big, and these two had a lot of that secret sauce that makes a success. It was expensive of course, but taking the money from Doug the Dealer’s little box beneath the sofa covered it all and there was money to spare, so they also bought some fancy clothes.

Having a lot of potential can sometimes be a burden. If you, for example, have a lot of good ideas, are highly intelligent, dare take the right steps and also have money at your disposal – you can easily get into trouble. People have a tendency to hate those with potential, mostly because they are jealous. It can also stem from their inferiority complexes. People can really be little shits.

But yes, as I said: it was a bad idea. They couldn’t get the submarine out of the backyard because the gate was too small.

Peace,
The unexpected challenges is the path to success. It's never easy to build from scratch that will long last the envy and haters.
Thanks for sharing this message with the community 🌟❤️

This story was a bit ironic about the concept of success, but the part of envy I did use some real indignation. In Denmark we call it the Jante-law - when people in a community have a hard time with the success of the deviant.

I like my stories to have contradicting so I juxtaposed the American entrepreneur-self-help-industry-lingo with the Jante-law.

Ambition can get you to all sorts of places, good and bad. We need the dreamers, but they need to consider others.

Yes, there's a bit of satire here. But it does take some wildness to go for a submarine.
