Brushing your ego
The electric toothbrush he had bought had many features that was unique. Nanzi corp. had really crushed it this time, the competition was way behind. It had been expensive, but it sported a flash light in case the enemy invaded while brushing, and a plaque-scanner that would beep if the brushing was not thorough enough.
But the reason he had bought it was the microphone that made it possible to ask the toothbrush questions while brushing your teeth. The AI-model was developed to recognise human language through foam, electric motor sound and speak impediment due to having a stick in your mouth. It was really something to be able to get the latest prices on hand weapons or information on discounts on blast doors for your bunker while cleaning your teeth.
The toothbrush had a rich, sensual female voice. Obliging, loyal and helpful. Not a servant's voice, but a caring person's voice. Almost like a mother, or a loving wife. One that would never question your motives no matter what. That alone had convinced him while he had the brush presented in the shop. It made him feel strong and important when he mumbled his questions.
The company had called her Eva Braun after the mistress of Adolf Hitler, a big leader in the twentieth century who had almost conquered the world.
That was going well, would there be a continuation?

Things are going pretty well, but I have started a project to get people here to abandon Meta corp, Google and TicToc so I have been busy with boring things:)
Good idea! Very necessary! Are you having any success? My friends here are all tethered to facebook. This is so dangerous for us all! Do you not think Hive presents some of the same dangers?
We are in the preparatory phase. Right now people seem to realise that it might have been a bad idea to let large corporations control your communication, so I guess we are getting peoples ears. We wouldn't have been able to get through just one year ago, but the state of the world is beginning to get through to people. Hive is decentralised, so no. There are things about crypto that you can criticise, but at least here as in the other decentralised social media the profiles you follow will appear in chronological order. I think that is the way things should be. No obscure editing.
If they are still avidly on FB or others, they probably do not realize this. Folks wanna think their thoughts are genuinely their own. By controlling communication, our thought is controlled. Our political leanings. Our moral fiber. It's horrible to think that we could be so easily swayed,but once you know that you have been manipulated, it's not horrible at all, just curious. At least for me it has been. I hope I can say I have wisened up some in this regard. I am not on any of those media spaces. They give me the heebie jeebies. I left FB when my friends turned on me in packs because I resisted the insane covid regulations.

Yes, exactly. Some days I wonder if we were meant for these large Forum Romanum types of communications. It often ends up in this.

It's not hard to believe that someone is working on this, but maybe not with that name. Mind you, I've heard some car companies veer to the right.

One of the things that worry me most is how short people's historical memory is. As I see it we just fall back into the same stupid battles again and again.
Short, and easily reshaped. Same for scientific, financial and cultural understandings. We humans are moosh-brained.
