World Animal Day, a Birthday and a Lesson

Today, October 4th is the World Animal Day. An official day when celebrations and events for animals take place aiming for their welfare and to remind people how important it is to respect them.

I always remember this day. Not (only) because I love animals and try to help them, but also for another reason.

My brother's birthday is today!
Yes, he was born on this day exactly, a few years ago.

And as long as I remember, we always made fun of him. We would wish him happy birthday because it was world animal day and all kind of stupid, but funny jokes. By me and by his friends.

Every year.

But this year it was different.

I told him... Today I will not make fun of you.
He asked, "Why?"

And I said .. "You are too old to make fun of you and World Animal Day 🤣🤣"

And he said "Well, now I am hurt"

And he kind of meant it...

I understood that he felt kind of sad for growing up. Us making the jokes to him, made him feel younger and he actually enjoyed it.

So from now on, I will always make fun of him (in a good way of course) and try not to hurt his feelings 😇 I think that buying him a gift will make him feel better too :)
