Two Years, One Sale: What I Learned from Selling My First E-Book

This is a post about not giving up, even though the thought has often crossed my mind.

This is a post about things that can be taught. Everything that happens to us, good or bad - is a lesson and shows us a way. Every joy, every sad day, every success or (maybe more) the failures, are moments when we should reflect and then simply move forward.

I am writing this to remind myself and to anyone listening that we need to be clear about our goals, persistent and to simply follow them! It is not possible to succeed if we do not do the work.

I had compiled this ebook by some poems I had been writing sometime ago, pairing them with some of my images at the time. It was a while after the corona virus era so, I have had more free time to go out and explore nature - as well as its cute habitats :)

During that period (2023) I was exploring a few additional ways of income streams, one of which was Amazon and its book publications. That is when I created this ebook and published it in February 2023.

Time passed...
And a few days ago I check my email (which is not my daily email) and I see this

Of course I thought it was spam, but I remembered my book so I went to amazon to check it out.

Important Always verify on official websites and do not click links on emails - just to make sure that they are legit.

It took me sometime to figure out where the payments were, but I did find out that I am getting a whole 0.28$ as royalty!

Someone from the UK actually bought my ebook and I cannot be happier, because someone else other than my friends really read what I had to say!

So, what I have learned :)

• People still read books. (Please do it, it helps our way of thinking and it also supports people who share their thoughts and knowledge with us)
• We should not forget what we have produced-done, and if we are thinking of evolving it, we should keep it close to our heart.
• It is not bad to try out different things
• Make sure to save your passwords at safe places :)
