In black and white; artistic, powerful, timeless

I have always been afraid to see my photos in black and white. At the same time, I have always admired monochromes

There is a special feeling and admiration
You focus on the essence of the image and not the details or any distractions

I would like to tell you, I do not feel confident with my photos in black and white

But it is a good opportunity to join this space and I am looking forward to more inspiration through these amazing artists and posts

Thank you in advance

Above the clouds

I have always loved the feeling of traveling, even if I myself feel too shy most of the times. I have traveled a lot the past few months, but one of the times, and during my longest and further away trip, the clouds were amazing, a paid actor as one would say. They do look different in bnw, more mysterious and elegant..

The wish(es)

IMG_5817.jpeg

I don’t like cutting flowers, I rarely do it and when I do, there is a reason. For this shot, I had found the dandelion on the street and it was intact

So, let’s make a few wishes

The statue

IMG_5815.jpeg

I have no idea who it is, or why it was an ornament outside of a tavern I visited. I think it was totally out of place. But when I saw it in black and white, I saw that it may be the wind.. it is always windy at that place

Don’t annoy me

When Pepper sleeps

IMG_5819.jpeg

When she sleeps, nothing will disturb her; not even the daylight

Can the ocean be monochrome?

IMG_5820.jpeg

Not sure; Can it?
Should it?
What do you think?

I would love to know your thoughts on it

How about details?

IMG_5823.jpeg

I did not like this photo in color, but I do see a certain charm now that color is gone

Colorless flowers and doors?

IMG_5825.jpeg

I was not sure about this, but I wanted to check it out

Doors and flowers without colors
This allows you to feel more
Be nostalgic
Feel the care

For this one, I will make an exception and put the color on so that you have both versions

Thanks for having me in this community 🙏🖤🤍

I see the black in the white picture is like nostalgia from the past, while the colored one is like a breath of new air in the present.

I’m shocked that you were afraid of seeing black and white pictures
They are usually the most beautiful

I do enjoy the black and white photos compared to the coloured one as they tend to show a lot more of the details in the photo

but thats my interception of this :)

I totally attest to not being in for black and white pictures because It’s like the beauty all comes out with the touch of the colors but those black and white pics are not bad after all and it’s an area to be explored too. It’s like a beautiful view of what the other side looks like too. And that last picture, I like it😋

Your black and white photos have such a strong mood it brings or I'll say vibes lol. The dandelion shot is my favorite actually, it's simple but full of feeling
Nice ones

Great photos! Love how you can capture an image and if you edit it in B&W it can tell a completely different story. That staircase at the bottom is a perfect example. The vibrancy of the colors makes it feel so full of life and inviting, where as in B&W you are drawn to the cracks in the stones and the decay of decades of exposure to the elements. Same photo, two different emotions and stories... We often think of music in a similar way when we are editing

I'm not a fan of monochromatic, I like some of them but not all... Of yours I think first 2 are the best

They look really cool in black and white. I love the cloud one, fluffy like ice cream 😋
