ADELADE BRIGHTWING

The card’s overview
Magic Attack: 2
Ranged Attack: 0
Speed: 5
Armor: 1
Health: 5
Abilities: Flying, Repair (at base); later levels grants Resurrect, Immune, Swiftness. ([Read.cash][1])
Its strength is in support and resilience: Adelade Brightwing is built to maintain team durability via armor repair, while also offering aerial mobility and magical offense. She shines in roles where keeping tanks or frontline units alive matters, especially under battle rules or scenarios that favor maintaining armor or resisting ground attacks. She can also serve as an effective counter to attrition strategies, since her repairs can swing momentum back in longer battles.
Heal (max level in some sources): At high levels, she adds Resurrect, Immune, and Swiftness on top of her Repair and Flying, making her much harder to remove and able to influence battles more decisively. ([Read.cash][1])

Strengths
* Low‑mana or balanced cost utility: While not extremely cheap, her mana cost is reasonable for what she offers; this means she can fit into many decks without overly sacrificing damage dealers. Her utility becomes more obvious in medium mana battles or when synergy with tanks and armor is needed.
* Flying + Repair synergy: Flying gives Adelade mobility and protection from melee attacks, allowing her to avoid some of the heavier damage from ground units. Paired with Repair, she can help keep armored units alive, prolonging their effectiveness.
* Scaling & upgrade payoff: As she levels up, she gains powerful abilities (Resurrect, Immune, Swiftness), which increases survivability and versatility greatly. Once upgraded, Adelade becomes much more self‑sufficient and harder to remove, contributing both defensively and offensively by staying alive.
* Magical offense: Though her damage is not her primary role, she does deal magic damage, which bypasses armor. This helps her chip off enemies that rely on armor, making enemies more vulnerable for other units to finish.
* Team synergy: She is especially valuable when paired with high‑armor frontliners, summoners or other cards that benefit from being kept alive. She can also complement cards that excel when enemies still have their armor up, or that punish attacks on units with full armor.
---
Weaknesses
* Low ranged / direct damage output: Since she has no ranged attack, her offensive capability is limited. Against opponents who keep their distance or have strong ranged units, she may struggle to contribute much damage.
* Vulnerable before upgrades: Early levels lack the more defensive and utility abilities. Without Resurrect or Immune, she can be taken out by magic, strong ranged attacks, or burst damage.
* Reliance on armor or allies: Her Repair ability assumes there are units to repair (frontliners or other armor‑bearing units). If the rest of the team is fragile or low armor, she may not have much to work with.
* Situational usefulness: In rulesets where Repair is less effective (for example, rules that reduce or ignore armor, or where constant heavy magic damage is present), her utility diminishes. Also, when speed or burst matters more than endurance, her strengths may be less relevant.

Example build / how she plays in battle
Here’s a scenario to illustrate how she might be used:
You are in a high mana battle where the opponent has strong melee and magic units. You pick a high‑armor tank in front—say Uriel the Purifier—with thick armor and good health. Add Adelade Brightwing behind that tank so she can use Repair to restore damage to his armor, thus extending his time in the fight. Her Flying keeps her safer from direct ground melee threats. Meanwhile, you include some damage dealers (magic or ranged) to take advantage of the fact that the enemy’s frontline is delayed in breaking through due to consistent armor repair.
As the battle progresses, Adelade upgrades (or is already at a higher level), and can use Resurrect if one of your units dies (bringing them back with 1 health), Immune to avoid being targeted by certain damaging effects, and Swiftness to speed up turn order. These upgrades make her not just a support but also a threat that the opponent has to deal with, sometimes drawing away resources or focus.

Overall, Adelade Brightwing is a unique support‑caster card in Splinterlands. She may not shine in games where you need raw, fast damage, but in battles of endurance, she can change the tide. Her ability to repair armor, fly, and later gain powerful defensive and utility abilities makes her a very strong choice when building around sustained survival.
The theme of this art is the Japanese shrine maiden with a touch of samurai and angel characteristics highlighting its illuminous nature of the Adelade Brightwing. To make Adelade stand out from the background I tried adding of features on the art . Give the art a dark yet glow touch at the end
Digital art has been fun if I could say the least so I'll continue with my art and hope this art and all other upcoming ones would get your support and appreciation.
This has been wonderful I hope you will all give your feedback on this art and how i could improve more in the foreseeable future
ART PROCESS
First thing I did was a sketch out the idea after drawing in a piece of paper before approaching it digitally.
CHARACTER DESIGN
BACKGROUND DESIGN
for this particular art I decided to use a background design matching the features of the character.
I Marge the background and the character together.
After that I added the finishing touches up to the art highlighting the drawing etc.
TOOL USED FOR THE ART
Ibis paint x
Tablet and stylus pen
Am a bit nervous when I was drawing this cuz it's my first time attempting to draw this characters and Honestly speaking I enjoyed every second of drawing this and I hope it's appreciated.
Don't forget to look after your health and stay safe everyone
But regardless it is a unique card and can put up a fight if placed in the battle. I had decided to use a very simple method to draw this, using my pencil for a start, then adding the visibility by using a pen to trace the pencil sketch. Lastly I just coloured the parts I thought would give the work a unique look. And that's all for today….see next week.
thanks for your support and feedback thanks for your time and as always see you next time, bye!✌️😊
