LEADERSHIP: SERVICE, NOT HONOR

Leadership is a call to service not onto honor, be aware of this and be a great and successful leader in your own time,

many people or many ordinary people that God has helped them to become a leader over people, over society community in school, and church many people have taken it to be a thing of celebration instead of calculation. Yes you have to calculate at the same time reasoning on how to go about the leadership. A leader is someone who leads people who show people direction by example. I'll be sharing some of my experience I had previously and currently as a leader in the church in the school and at home to my siblings. My leadership journey started since when I was in Sunday school Days in the church I lead the youngest one, teach them guid and take care of them.

From there I became a timekeeper in my junior secondary school that is when I started seeing the importance, the advantage and the disadvantage of a leader however, the advantage is more of good than the disadvantage. For you as a leader both advantage and disadvantage and not something to be worried 😟 about they are also something that you need to work on them as you go on your leadership journey. So from there I became the timekeeper and I'm always responsible for that I still receive qurell I'm responsible for some of the issues concerning time in my school however I did not allow it to put me down, rather but I don't know it was the beginning of my leadership journey. As a leader you have to learn to be humble learn to listen don't talk much and always listing to people ahead of you.

Most leaders think that once they are on a throne or if they are on a seat of a leadership, they use the authority of that position to oppress other people, they relax more to work. They use the opportunity to go for party for clubbing they use the opportunity to behave anyhow on people instead of them to know that leadership is not unto Honor but to serve, you have to serve your people, how can you serve your people like me as a leader in my school, and in my church I still go to buy fuel, sweep the church if necessary arrange the chairs mop the tiles and so on.

Many leaders uses the opportunity of the leadership to receive Honor, they want to be respected by everybody and they are boasting they are arrogant they are not humble, it's not good is not proper you have to be humble and then serve your people for them to Honor you you have to serve them show them example by doing what you want them to do don't just stay and want everything to be done at ease without you putting effort.

My advice to any leader in this hive community and beyond the globe 🌎 know that you have to work as a leader and be responsible for everything under your care. I can't over emphasize the guidance of our dear leader @ovey10 he has been putting us through and up to now he's not tired of teaching others. Thank you for being a leader with a example.

Finally, there's a saying that says "Leader Are Readers" as a leader read other materials online, offline about leadership and research to know ahead of your members or those you are leading,

don't be like a father that the child is the one leading him is not bad but that will bring limitations to the parents the child may end up not respecting them as it supposed to be. Your service as a leader is to lead, guid, provide, learn and grow your community. Through services honor would be attracted.

I really love this reminder that leadership is about serving others, not just enjoying the title. True leaders lead by example, stay humble, and take responsibility. Your journey from Sunday school to school leadership shows that even small acts of responsibility matter. I also like how you encourage leaders to keep learning and growing. Respect isn’t demanded it’s earned through service. This was a really inspiring read. Thanks for sharing! @kastropaul398

I enjoyed reading this post @kastropaul398. leadership is not about getting respect but about serving others. Many people think being a leader means enjoying power, but true leadership is about responsibility. A good leader leads by example, listens to others, and keeps learning. It’s not about showing off but about helping people grow. I love how you shared your own experiences it shows that real leadership starts with small acts of service. Keep inspiring others with your journey!
